Well it finally happened… I got some actual quality power cables in, Shunyata Research Diamondback and Venom HC. I have been running stock this whole time 
so now it’s time to see what I’ve been missing.
The diamondback will go on the lampi amber 3 and venom on the cavalli liquid gold.
EDIT: apparently I’ve been missing a lot…

Yes, it was a bit of a shock to me they could have as much impact as they do.
I sat down with a notepad and a piece of paper when I compared power cables and the differences were so obvious I never needed them.

Tungsram ecc82. They were supose go both look like the one on the left though. Thats a mid 70s tungram with dual getter support (so its one getter but look at tye 2 bars holding it up in the top of the tube). I found a couple of people who have tried a crap ton of 12au7 raving about it so i got some. Now im just waiting on the big daddy expensive ass tube to arive

I’d be interested in your thoughts on both the Tungsram and Brimar. The Tungsram doesn’t quite have enough bass for me, but my tastes tend towards the warmer side, so YMMV.
There’s a 12au7 expert called Wes who posts on both the headfi and headphones.com forum who has raved about the Tungsrams in the past (not sure if he was one of the people you were referring to). He likes his tubes dead neutral, so I tend to buy his castoffs at a good price when they are too warm for him LOL.

I have the Brimar and it was one of my favorite 12au7’s in the pendant (when I had it) though ultimately I preferred the Mullards.
Some of this though is very amp dependent.
I have the Brimar in my elekit speaker amp at the moment.

I use a Brimar CV4003 (12AU7) with a Mullard CV2984 in my BHC. Definitely my favorite 12AU7 tube.

New Baltic-3 direct from Lampizator arrived today, I traded in my A3 to try and squeeze just a tiny bit more out of my equipment and round out my main system.

Agreed, they look great and I’m really loving the look too. I have solid but boring looking replacements for them supposedly many times “better” … i’ll wait long enough to become complacent again before i swap them out.
