So i went and ordered some things from van nuys through a fowarding service, just kinda testing the waters to see what’s up. A little over 3 months since ordering and it has arrived today. Granted that it took about a month for it to arrive domestically from van nuys warehouse to the fowarding service i used… so really about 2 months from the fowarder to me. Not the worst wait i’ve had importing something actually just about what I expected.
I didn’t go overboard and just got a few things i wanted and that caught my eye. the main thing being this travel case for my DAP and IEMs. Excellent quality, second to none honestly and fits like a glove. Also picked up one of those double iem tubes for protection. Got a notebook enclsure for work and since my Job still requires masks picked up one of these really nice masks… worth it, very comfortable and easy to breath in.
So now that this was a sucess and it didn’t take 6+ months to arrive I’ll definitely be putting in a larger order soon hopefully to arrive by christmas time

Damn. I need to get one of those masks, I’ve got too many van nuys cases where I feel compelled to have the mask as well lol

yeah it’s pretty sweet. As someone who has to wear a mask 8-10 hours a day for work I’ve not used anything quite as comfortable and easy to breath in as this. Also it’s really cool that it doubles as a mask cover so you can also use it with a standard woven mask for twice the “protection” if you need/want to.

Ever since I owned the Sarda I’ve been wishing I could easily get my hands on some more Van Nuys gear. Their stuff is super nice for sure.

Link to buy a mask? I have to wear a mask for 10+ hrs while building jet engines. So annoying.

but you will want to use google translate and like i said above you can’t buy overseas, they only ship domestically in Japan. I used a fowarding service to import. this one to be exact.
definitely check out their catalog, alot of really great stuff. If you are going to go through the trouble of using a fowarder you might as well buy a bunch of stuff lol

Very nice! I love cycling, and really need to try and find more time for it. So much beautiful road to ride nearby, I feel pretty guilty letting my bikes sit in my garage unused for months at a time.

Was stupidly curious as to what a sub $20 moondropnwould sound like . first impressions are actually pretty possitive
edit : here are first impressions build quality is bad even for the price point bad cable and non replicable which can be found for cheaper
fit is great very comfy light feel I really just miss being able to wear IEMS down.
i think the closest sounding IEM I can think of is the final e500 which the quarks I believe do beat. ITs handles busy tracks much better and is much less congested. Test gear is the liquid spark DAC, Asgard 3 on low gain as it’s actually pretty great for iems I’m finding.

-Really decent natural timbre
-Measurements had me worried about the 3k peak but it doesn’t bother me at all where the ssp I found shouty and too bright for me. This is a nice departure. As overall it sounds pleasant smooth with a a good extended bass response and hits a nice sweet spot of present but not too forward bass

VooDoo Cable Evolution 2.0 USB : Really good quality and sounds very nice. I sold off my Venom USB and Mad Scientist USB for it. So far its like a combo of the Venom and mad scientists. The mad brought the quality up but lost some bass that the Venom had. Voodoo seems to fix the bass and keeps up the quality all around. Not sure yet on how the staging is, maybe not as wide as the venom, but wider than the mad. I would say depth is pretty on point and better than the other two as well as seperation and decay. But def a nice organic smooth, with great detail retrieval. Could use a touch or air or sparkle in the treble. But so for enjoying it.
