No, sort of the opposite. I tried tubes, like their sonic qualities, but have decided that they don’t suit my busy lifestyle, mostly because of the warmup time.
Essentially, if I’m able to sneak away for 30-45 minutes of listening I don’t want to spend 15 or more on warmup time.

I don’t know how un-/convenient it is for you to do this, but I just turn on my setup prior to my listening session. Then, I go make coffee/breakfast/poop/errands, whichever, before I listen.

Yeah- that was my thought when I bought a quicksilver HPA. But it just never got listened to. In 5 years my kids will be 18 and 13 and everything will probably be different. Tubes then!! 
I’m not sure of the proper etiquette - are we supposed to wait until items have landed before sharing, or is it OK to share what trigger happy fingers did - the same day?
I’m sure you will correct me if I’m out of line, then.

Towa created a kind of catch-all thread for this sort of thing so it doesn’t really matter. I like sharing pictures so I kinda prefer to wait.

Alot of people would share a snapshot of item when bought and come back next week to share pic of item once it arrived

yes that’s fine, you can report here when you make a purchase and/or post pictures when it arrives, both is fine. I also like to take pictures and share, so i usually just wait till it has arrived myself
