Not kidding here. Put it between your Pi2AES and whatever DAC you’ve got in the upstairs room at the moment and see what it does. It’s designed to improve a digital signal. Whether USB or S/PDIF. Make it do that and see what it shows you.
I still haven’t given up on getting it into my house either BTW. lol
The Mrs has been wanting “some kind of speaker system” for her home office. She asked me to investigate something with Bluetooth that will make Kasey and Lofi sound good.
Ran some errands this morning and stop by a Japanese restaurant for some sushi and morning hot sake (cause why not) while listening to the restaurant choice of music… Asian Idols music.
GIK Acoustic delivered my 2nd set of 244 panels and I got it setup last not but haven’t listen to it… I have the 1st reflection treated and now my 2nd reflection treated with the newly acquired 244 panels.
Got home and finally listen the Platimon with the newly treated 2nd reflections and man… idk if it’s the sake or what, this sounds really amazing lol. Clarity is a little better, but the most obvious changes is the soundstage. Saying it’s wider is an understatement. Soundstage sound much more fuller, yet it also sounds much bigger (which is really hard to explain). I probably want more time with this, but I had to get this off my chest because man I’m really loving this changes!
I bought monster bass traps near the end of July last month, but I never said anything. The biggest changes I heard was the soundstage sounding more holographic to me and that’s about it. It sounded less impactful vs where treating the 1st and 2nd reflection made a much bigger difference for me.
Now that I have the first reflection, second reflection, and back wall treated, I think all I have left now to treat is the corner bass traps and cloud. Speakers is still my favorite form of listening, it’s just a lot of work but it’s so rewarding when you get close to being done. I like to take things slow so I can really get my brain familiar with the little changes in my system. I will probably get the corner bass traps next either November or beginning of January. Can’t wait to hear my Platimon setup with full treatment!
A few days ago I ordered a pair of Tri Draco (open back iems). They only cost $59 on Amazon. Im sort of taken back at how good they sound, considering the price. They are a mid-centric sound signature with just enough bass and smooth treble. If you are a sparkle chaser, these aren’t for you. They kind of remind me of the Koss Portapro in IEM form. For $59, these things are stupidly good.
I bought a cable from the “boutique” section from Hart Audio Cable with an 4.4mm output and it’s working nicely. Now I can easily use the Mysphere 3.2 on the go with my DAP!
I was interested in the Titan as well. There were reports of people experiencing pressure build-up issues, so that steered me away. I look forward to hearing what you think about them.
It made more sense to go 300b. John liked it better, more common tubes, less tubes, and most likely a better amp for the mysphere 3.1 (which I miss using).
That’s all Allnic. It acts as a faraday cage for any EM interference. Interesting part is that the wire mesh is impregnated into the acrylic silo, so there’s no way to remove just the mesh. And I believe it’s made out of the same material they use in their cables, Mu metal.
