That’s awesome!

The build on the Nimbus looks very impressive (especially the internals). Looking forward to more impressions.

The hobby in a nutshell. lol

Finally got the room treatment. Started with some gik slatfusor corner traps and a couple freestanding bass traps. Bass response is much more evened out now (and room is quieter), still a dip around 60-100 but I think I can resolve that by moving my speakers closer to the front wall (and maybe my listening position). Love the look though and I may get one more corner trap for the back right corner of my room, but that can wait for now.

Excuse the mess btw, I’m probably going to move the messy Nintendo Switch setup back into the living room once my subs arrive. I may go the speakers full range + minidsp just for the subs route but I’ll cross that bridge once I get there. Anyways, hope everyone is having a great week!

Highly recommend the Genki Covert Dock to clean up “the mess” and also help airflow

Oh, that’s a smart recommendation, lol. I have a Genki Dock and I honestly only use it when traveling. Like, my partner’s family booked an AirBnB for a gathering (unfortunately for a funeral) and it made it really easy to hook up a Switch to the TV and it was very easy to pack.

Curious to hear your thoughts eventually on this combination

Bought the Tubulus Concentus USB and sat with it for a while.

I can see what people mean when they say that a nicely recorded song matters.

I’m definitely keeping it.

My first purchase in quite a while, but I upgraded my Ansuz Power Distributor to a C2. Because of that, I have been cleaning house a bit, including listing my A2 and my X if anyone is interested.

Sellers pay fees calculated off the sale price, but NOT the shipping cost. So they price the item low and then jack up the shipping by a large amount to keep their seller fees low but their actual net gain high. It’s shady, but it happens all over the second hand market web. Discogs recently changed their policy to calculate fees off sale price PLUS shipping to try to combat this.

I kind of went ham on merch at the show. I do think the NY specific Sessanta poster would have neen better for their Hollywood show but it is pretty nice in person. The APC poster is my favorite and the Primus is getting framed then given to my buddy as a wedding gift. Last stop of the tour so i think they just had leftovers on signed vinyls from the other stops.

Finally got the SVS in and comparing them to my existing monitors. Wow they are way smaller. Not sure I’m loving them this far but burn them in and let my brain adjust. Pictures die size comparison.

I’ve got the HD 620 on order, and just paid for an Arctic Prisma to go with it. Haven’t tried Arctic cables before, so I’m looking forward to that.

My 20+ year Maytag started leaking and I ended up getting an All in One unit (Washer + Dryer combo). It tries to be a TOTL washer but the dryer portion is pretty low-mid. Probably not worth the mark up for dryer portion alone, but it is convenient to not have to transfer clothes to another machine. I’d equate it to like a V590 of Washers, wash/prewash is legit and very capable, while the Dry portion does what it supposed to, nothing fancy. But that is my first impressions, still too early to tell.

In audio related purchases, I got a Hifiman Serenade because apparently, I like All in One units.

It got this in last week and planned to use it for streaming in a particular room. But it is just very, very, very okay. The streaming portion on it sounds drastically different (negatively) than running it through any other digital input. Seems to prefer Roon over any other services I’ve tried, but streaming sounds a tad off. The amp portion is a bit noisy but I haven’t done anything to rectify it yet. I haven’t spent too much time with it, but I am critical on it in my personal opinions. I will just say, similar to before, it is really, really just okay.

Bought a set of Habst enso sl RCA cables to match the XLR I have from Habst.

Putting some time on it with a Chromecast before transferring it over.

Don’t hear much about these cables but they are just right for me.

I love it! Chromecast Audio pucks are one of my favorite little audio gadgets! I’ve got a bunch of them around my house doing background music duty.
