Sorry for the delayed responses to a few of you who asked @orrman, etc. I was out of town for my kids’ mid-Winter break, work has been busy, and Lampi/DHL had some delays… since my Pac2 dilemma, I was deciding between sticking w/ it, vs upgrading to the Horizon, or perhaps the TotalDAC Triunity.
May I present my new DAC, the Lampizator Horizon. I’m about 2 hours on my initial burn-in using just the stock tubes, so it’s a bit early to make any big statements, but let’s just say the initial impression is very positive. I have new adapters incoming for my Telefunken C3G quad to replace the Psvane 6SN7, the SFR p17C tubes to replace the KT88s, and my RGN2004/G2504 rectifiers that will be rolled in as well. Once it’s burned in and tube optimized, I plan on writing up a comparison of the Horizon vs Pacific 2 vs TD Unity.
And just for the isolation police, yes I put it on a set of Critical Mass Centerstage 2s. Power cords and digital/analog interconnects remained the same.
So thankful to have music again. Again, indebted to @Polygonhell for providing 3 weeks of very lovely TotalDac magic during the transition…

Let me know how these sound. I am still going through combos on the GA. Luckily every combo sounds really good, but im not sure ive found a “home” yet.
