Stainless, good for EMI/RFI shielding.
You could use spacers with longer screws so that the cover fits.
Very primitive and rough idea depending on what you need hexagon nut with the longer screws and matching thread from the housing.
Align the hexagon nut a little so that it looks uniform and attractive .
Nice tubes by the way and have fun with them.
@Rhodey
Nice usb stick, I like it, let’s hear how it is.
Good to know. I’ll try a stock one again after some time to see what the difference is.
I was not even thinking about that. It looked nicer than the other cheap plastic options available
Initial impressions are it’s solid. Especially for $215. I’m only using SE atm too. I’m sure the 4.4 will have a bit more authority.
Cable arrived but I’ll give the astute to figure out what is not right from the retermination.
Good thing it sounds fantastic though.
Left and right mislabeled? I don’t even know what HP they’re for but I can’t pass up a challenge.
He covered the springs
Exacto knife that and you are good
Left right swapped - stupid lemo connectors are red on both
It’s for the Utopia
Yep i had these reterminated and they sound great, but Camus wins this. Outside of the red and white indicators just being loose, THEY COVERED THE LEMO SO THE PUSH-PULL RELEASE DOESNT WORK!
You can force them on, but you will break something trying to take them off. I cut it back and removed what looked like black glue in the mechanism and now it works. They also didnt align the connectors well so they need to be teased into place
@NickMimi this is where you come in and remind me of my luck.
I wasn’t even looking at that. I was thinking he somehow messed up and used one LEMO and one mini-XLR, lol.
Someone gave you the “evil-eye”, you have been hexed I have never seen a more blatant case
You are like a black hole that sucks in bad luck…
If you’re willing to take off the heatshrink and do them again, you should be able to realign them easily enough. Also the loose red/white should shrink up hitting them wit a heatgun. Shoddy IMO. They sound good and they didn’t get lost in shipping. I’m calling this a win given some of your past calamities.
I purchased a Ferrum Wandla. Received the unit and the left channel died after playing 5 songs.
Tried about everything. When switching the Volumen control the DC protection kicks in. Beyond frustrated right now.
Oh no! So sorry to hear.
Under warranty?
It’s supposed to be. Bought it new from headphones.com. They don’t have stock for replacement. Got to wait 2 weeks so far. Ferrum hasn’t replied yet, probably because the different time zones.
Bummer! Not the way to celebrate the holidays I’d imagine. Glad at least it’s under warranty.
I just had to ship something back for warranty repair too, so totally empathize with you.
In most of Europe it is now 9 pm and many people like to bridge the gap after Christmas with holidays.
You may receive a support response on 2 January at the earliest or even from 8 January, depending on how the companies have arranged it.
If an exchange takes place, it may be the end of January before you get a replacement.
It’s always rubbish if this happens during Christmas and the days after.
