Congrats, I’m planning on putting a deposit down for that exact configuration soon. What are those 2A3s? Are they stock? The stratus I demoed came with the electro harmonix 2a3 I believe

Unless he’s changed it Stock they usually ship with Shugang or PSVane (the entry level ones).

They’re JYL Tubes and they seem pretty tall compared to other 2A3s. They’re actually not bad at all. I actually like the stock tubes on the Stellaris more than I did the Stratus. I swapped the rectifier pretty quick on the stratus v4 when I had it for almost 2 months.
I have a GEC U52, Elrog 5U4G, EML Mesh, and RCA 5U4G rectifiers to roll but I wanted to get a baseline with stock first.
Also have the Linlai Global Elites 2A3s as well but just waiting a bit.

And the Christmas season of giving is alive and well, me thinks my dealer is a madman, he absolutely wants me to go Nordost for my cabling. Meter long Valhalla 2 wrapped and presented w/ his warmest Christmas wishes 
arrived a short while ago. 
Considering how thick it is, it amazes me how astonishingly light and relatively flexible it is. 
Between tubes, amplifier and now this i feel absolutely blessed this Christmas may you all be just as blessed in your own lives.

This sounds fantastic on even my jank analog setup, piano timbre is really great and it almost feels like it’s in the room here with me. I feel like this type of album is a must for speakers, really can’t compete if you play it on headphones.

Picked this up to hold me over until my assortment kit arrives, but I also wanted to see what the fuss was all about and if I could tell a difference. Long story short, my DNA amp needed a new fuse and I was in the market haha.
Also picked this up to see how it would pair with my MR since I’ve heard good things. Took advantage of the headphones.com sale by being a sonic member and with some points I earned I was able to land this for $215 shipped

Which is why I have to laugh at these insanely priced fuses, had one been in my amp when the Elrog popped the fuse, I would have been beyond pissed off!

I won’t try the Elrog again until I have a the cheaper assortment kit. This is 2.5A but l’ll make sure the Elrog works with a cheapie first.

The Genalex KT66s are here. Them are some big boy tubes. Can’t even close the lid on the Leben. Giving them some burn in time but they are definitely better than my black plate 6L6s. Important comparison will be with the TungSol 6550s.
