From what I’ve heard they should be less warm but not harsh and very well extended throughout the FR, adding more detail as well. Seems to be really liked, especially off the envy and I’m sure the Studio B will be the same. Congrats @Souldriver!

Yeah the elrogs are pretty nice, I’m using some on the ha300. They kind of have everything and has a nice balance to it. Not too analytical and not too “tubey” imo.

I am hoping it brings a different but more even keel to what I heard from the EC SB so far with the WEs. I am hoping their more detailed nature also brings out more from the Utopia and X, the WEs are probably nest for the LCD and enriching those mids as much as possible.

Redoing my PC and I figured I’d start with a clean slate OS. I’ve been running Windows 10 Pro now and it’s the same install I’ve had running since 2016. Time to get rid of 8 years worth of crud from the registry, orphaned files and dead directories. It’s probably going to feel like a rocket.

It says 11 in your picture :joy:

8 years on Windows :sob:
There is a whole lot of crud stuck and that’s regardless of OS, if it ain’t broke is the saying…

Yeah, honestly would have stayed on 10 but I couldn’t find my key after my move and probably dumped all my physical media, so 11 it shall be.

Just to be clear and sorry for any confusion, this was referring specifically to the MO. I had the ER and they’re not on the same level as the MO. There’s definitely a difference.

Im still on Win 7 on my backup music server machine. I wanted to redo it but dont want to recalibrate mp3tagger and db_poweramp, which tbh are the only things on that machine worth a darn. I would do win 7 again but at this point its finally showing its age and support for that os is basically dead. I have to check the dumb RDP restrictions they put on win 10 and see if i have a key that allows what i need because thats mainly how i access it.

Just in time to update to Windows 12 in June '24

Seriously though, yes de-crapping your old OS for freshness is always nice and will feel “Better”

Will you be using windows for playing audio or non- audio application ?

Needed something to solve a problem, quality not a concern, but will be interested to see how it stacks up to using solutions like a Raspberry Pi or a Pi2AES into an entry level DAC.

Grats! That yamamoto fellow is a beast of an engineer, when I opened up the ha02 it was one of the most clean looking, built to last circuits ive seen. Also very clever push pull design to make a “real” tube amp with only 2 small driver tubes.

What are your high sensitivity speakers?
