Ooh, is that the Phoenix USB (or Net)?
Really curious to hear about this one.

Yeah, what’s crazy is the Alps RK50 that the Woo WA23 Luna has. That one is $1200.
Are totl attenuators more expensive than totl pots?
PhoenixNet.
I had to RTFM… apparently couldn’t just plug it in and go.
And it might not be compatible with my Network Acoustics Eno filter. Still figuring it out.
Yes they can get silly, the relay based one lampizator uses is multiple thousand dollars.
High precision resistors can run $20 a piece in quantity and it adds up quickly.
Whether you need 0.005% resistors in an attenuator is a different issue.
And that’s before you get into transformer based attenuators where I’m sure the upper limit is silly.
Hopefully it’s compatible.
The circuit design of those looks very impressive, IMO. I haven’t heard one, but it’ll be nice to get your feedback.
For any that are curious.
What a beautiful grain and color
What is the wood for those? They’re gorgeous!
Picked up some Diana suede bass ported pads to compare to the leather bass ported and Kimber Select Hybrid USB cable.
The suede pads are SO comfortable. I want to hear the ported out of curiosity because I’m definitely not missing bass on MR now…
Suede pads are good. Not too much gets lost but are smoother. Leather has a little more detail but are a little spicier. Leather offers more low end and more reverb.
I don’t find the leather bad or anything but if you want a chill headphone but still detailed the suede is a nice option to have.
Redwood burl (Summer of Burl) Calderas.
Yamamoto A-08S Ballon, 2wpc stereo amplifier made it into my hands finally
That Kimber Select is gorgeous.
Looking forward to hearing some impressions.
You just can’t help yourself falling in love with those beauties. Congrats. Hopefully it’s not another of your hernia inducing amp variety.
Very curious as to the character of these compared to the WE.
Was that the head fi one I linked a while back?
