Sweet lacewood
My favorites headphones ever so far, a little bit specialist tho
Found this little guy at the local hifi shop used section for a good price. Now have it powering the Matrix SPDIF3
oh sweet, you have a supersonic stabilizer too! did you notice anything with it or are you solely using it as a paperweight?
To be honest I just slapped it on top because the LPS seemed really light so it would get some more weight on the rubber feet. No clue if there’s any extra mojo from it’s super-sonic-ness
I was ordering stuff from Herbies and just threw that in instead of buying the doorstop thing from amazon that a bunch of people have.
These were finally in-stock after at least 9 months of back order!
For those who suggested early an often to get a linear PSU for my streamer, ROCK, and other DC powered components, I got a 4 /1 HDPLEX.
Thank you to @PaisleyUnderground , @dB_Cooper , and one other person who I’m ignorantly forgetting, likely @M0N
All of this Steam Deck talk reminded that my son was dropping hints of this last week.
Merry Christmas!
Damn lucky son that will be a nice surprise
I got this to toss in my laptop bag, or iPad bag.
I don’t have any “great” IEMs, but the Campfire Mammoth sounds pretty great with it, better than I’ve ever heard it. Also, I tried my Focal Clears with it for fun, as they are super efficient. Wow! plenty of power, and this little sucker is very impressive with them! Very resolving. This punches WAY above its weight price-wise.
I suspect it will sound better with some burn in. The picture of it next to Magni is to give an idea of how small it is too. I can’t help but think it’s a very viable alternative to any Magni/Modi stack, plus it’s portable. It’s obviously not as powerful though.
Definitely recommend.
I’m always pleasantly surprised with iFi’s products.
I’m glad this one is another success.
Picked up the MR recently. Had to know how it compared to the V2. I primarily use the abyss with my mojo2 but wanted to see how well it’ll scale with the MJ3 and eventually the DNA. Very pleased so far.
I love all their line until $700+ products which I think are overpriced and I didnt like their tuning
But the cheaper ones feel almost like a steal for the value and sound they provide
I haven’t heard anything of theirs above my GOldbar (which I really like), but all of their power filtration products have been really good in my experience.
My first audio purchase in a while…
They were on sale for black friday, I needed something wireless for podcasts and late night YT watching in bed. I’m happy with them, the battery life is pretty impressive too.
May I ask why specifically these?
There were like 1000+ wireless hps on BF
It really could have been anything as long as it met my needs. Those being;
1.) good battery life that I wouldn’t have to recharge more than once every week or two
2.) cheap. These coming in at just barely over $30 for BF was perfect for me and a easy financial commitment
3.) aestically pleasing to look at, which is the main reason I started looking at Sony offerings first as they have always had a design language that I have been drawn to.
Everything else was secondary, and sound quality was never even considered when I purchased. These are more for ease of use, convienence, and functionality over everything else
I was a fucking dumbass and ordered the wrong cable for my mass kobo, my 428 has been gathering dust while im waiting for the cable
Fog city cables did build the custom cable in 2 days and sent it fast. The cables are mogami and neutrik supposedly profesionally crafted, and also budget, Im sure ill recommend them once I hear it.
I also got a 4xlr to 4.5mm adapter. its an amazing adapter for $50, sounds truthfull to the cables’ sound.
Im going to check if its possible to return these and get the xlr female instead of male.
ill be recommending fogcityaudio cables because of the adapter. Also they have a massive selection of budget custom cables built and shipped in only 2 days.
