What have you purchased recently?

Got my new tabletop/desk, it’s narrower and almost twice as deep compared to my old one. It’s also one of the few tabletops you can buy from Ikea that isn’t filled with honeycomb cardboard lol.

Got the tabletop so I could reorganize my setup. First priority was sound, so the narrower desk helps bring the speakers closer in and away from walls/corners. The depth also helps me sit further away from the speakers and makes using my 48" c2 as a monitor more manageable.

Moving everything was a huge PITA, but I’m glad its done.

Here’s a couple pics…

Wow, using the ultrawide on my phone really makes the room look tiny lol. Also, the blue tape is where my first reflection points are. I’ve been considering investing in some acoustic treatments, so I tried doing the mirror trick to know where those treatments would go. I’ll probably start with some bass traps for the front corners and standing side panels for the reflection points.

I’m also not using the subs atm (even though my speakers are sitting on them lol). I’m planning on switching back to using one, I just haven’t had the motivation/energy to: put the other away, put the speakers on stands and readjust their position, and finally do the sub crawl. After moving everything around for the last few days I’m taking a break from moving stuff around in my office lol.

Anyways, that’s the purchase/system update. Hope y’all are having a great week!

I really really like to use subs for my klipsch 600

I put the crossover and volume almost to the minimum but it frees up so much midrange it sounds great.

But I see you may have a positioning/space problem or maybe lack stands.

Nice room reminds me of my own. I went horizontal instead of vertical though.

If so how cool and great looking :pinched_fingers:

Yes, its a Fractal North case. Its real wood and also has a small leather tab on the back which is a nice touch too

Wow you people are really going huge on the power supplies. I think i did an 800w and that was conservative.

All Noctua, a man after my own heart! I even cracked my Seasonic 1200 W open and put a 140 mm in there.

Really like that case.

I got an Atari in the mail today!!!

Half kidding. Bought a Jotunheim R (JR) as my replacement setup since I am currently in the process of selling my main equipments. Can’t really use my Susvara since I don’t have an amp for it anymore. So the Susvara has been seal away until I buy the new amp. So the Raal is going to get more usage for music enjoyment now.

I also got a custom specific cable specifically design for the JR amp. Can’t wait to try this baby out… after lunch. Haven’t ate anything since I spent all morning packing all the amps I’m selling up. Probably listen to it later on the day.

When I want Schiit to work, I know Schiit got me! So it’s always good to have some Schiit around for this situation.

Bought that second Riviera AIC-10 that showed up on Head-Fi last month. Massive thank to @Camus for taking care of the pick-up.

My pleasure @Michael, and thank you for being kind enough to let me try it out for a bit before shipping it out

I’ll let you post a glamour shot of it, since it is now your amp. Wouldn’t feel right for me to pop its debut cherry on here

That was an awesome deal congrats @Michael

I finally have the cables and can use the mass kobo 428

Its my first time using it, im using ath AWAS, adx5000 and grado sr325i gold.

It sounds phenomenal on batteries (still havent bought the LPS) no hiss, no distortion, excellent sound.

For its size I find incredible how it can rival my full sized desktop amps. Definitely worth it.

The sound is forward and sharp, perfect for audio technicas, fostex and grados. PERFECT FEMALE VOCALS.

these were my first impressions.
