Yeah I ordered and they came within a week, hopefully yours will ship soon. I was considering the adhesive option but since I’m not sure if these feet will be permanent or not I opted for without adhesive.
I found some immaculate Ken Rads from the 1940’s that were packaged in Arcturus boxes. Apparently after Ken Rads acquisition of Arcturus they shipped Ken Rads in remaining Arcturus boxes.
Thanks to @Hazi59 for his guidance and wisdom.
Sweet box art too
Since some either half guessed or reached out in private, yes I bought a Mass Kobo 465 and it should be here by the end of the year.
Plan is to compare to AIC and HM1 and finalize my Susvara amp, then use the money from selling the other two for the DAC upgrade. Might keep two if the features/difference feel justified.
One day I’ll come back to high end sources too.
Picked up a beautiful audio headband for the D8KP. It’s really nice. Wasn’t expecting much but it’s legit
Kinda got bored and I’ve always thought of matching a keyboard to an amp. The DNA keyboard! ![]()
Need to find some lighter gray caps but these will do for now. The blue came out pretty good and the vol knob is probably my favorite.
Not a ton of blue but I think it’s done tastefully. Oh and the space bar is being replaced. Have a matching gray one at work.
Just need the amp now lol.
DAMN! I would have never guess that. Thats pretty hype lol. I am really looking forward to your impression. Heard really good things about it, but it seems like it would do pretty with more sensitive headphones from the impressions I saw, but it was show conditions. I always thought about picking up its little brother the 394 II, but couldn’t justify owning one since I already got an amp for efficient headphones. Either way, looking forward what you think!
I’ve heard multiple impressions from people I trust it drives Susvara wonderfully. Wouldn’t have bought it if it wouldn’t. My biggest worry is I haven’t enjoyed a solid state amp in a long time and now I have both 465 and HM1 coming in, we’ll see how that goes lol
I heard an early prototype in japan (of what I think was the 406), it def drives the susvara without sweat lol. The 394ii is also something that drives all headphones I’ve tried sans susvara, og he6, and k1000 perfectly well (from a power perspective, not saying everything has perfect synergy with it lol), 1266 for example is no problem for it at all
Lol

I’m curious about the comparison of your V550 and MJ3. But, by that time the MJ3 might be out of stock!
Worried it might be the last batch so I jumped.
I might jump. Still deciding!
Edit:
I thought it was DM
Well you have 15 days to return, you have the v550 and a good dac to compare.
I don’t have experience with mega-expensive solid-state amps, but I did own the $2400 Cen.Grand 9i-806 “Little Silver Fox” for a time. Comparing the two amps, from memory in the case of the Cen.Grand amp, the MJ3 has impressed me more. I feel like I’m hearing more detail with the MJ3/Meze Elite combo while still sounding very natural and unforced.
To be fair, I was using an OG Bifrost 2 with the Little Silver Fox, and I have a Yggy A2 now with the MJ3. That is obviously a contributing factor.
Out of curiosity does the MJ3 stack with the new Yggy chassis?
I have my MJ3 and Yggy on separate shelves to prevent heat from building up. It looks like the folks at Schiit have no issues with stacking them though, at least temporarily at a show.
I’d just make sure that the mj3 is on the top of the stack lol
That’s an understatement!
My first keyboard build. Probably should have built one sooner, the keys are amazingly smooth and practically noise free compared to the Razer keyboard I had previously.
I used Gateron G Yellow Pro 2.0 lubed linear switches, the keyboard is Glorious GMMK Pro and I installed upgraded Durock V2 stabilizers lubed and balanced which was more work than I’d anticipated and on top of that there was an extra stabilizer and I spent five minutes looking for where it would go but since this keyboard is small form factor, there wasn’t a use for that additional one. That’s how much I know about keyboard builds.
I did install the small silicone rings under the keycaps as that made a bit of difference with my old keyboard and since I was starting from scratch, it was no trouble.
I did buy a simple keycap (full) set for when I get the num pad, but even though I spent $30 bucks on them they’re of supremely better quality and feel than anything I’ve used before and I like the simplicity of the two tones.
Anyway, I can now say I’ve officially joined the geek club. Money well spent IMO. Thank you @Souldriver for the deal.
