What have you purchased recently?

I quoted what he had to say on the matter slightly below that post, that’s all I have to go on.

I often find with new headphones that I need brain burn in too. The usually sound odd to me as they are different to what I am used to. It takes me a few sessions to learn to appreciate them. I had this a lot with the LCD2C. First listen was very much " Er… what??" After that I had time to sit and listen, try different music and sources and ended up loving them.

Hell yeah. I’m glad to hear that made that much of an immediate impact. I made a similar upgrade with a few things in between so it was nice to see that you can jump forward a few tiers lol

Picked up some stuff this week unexpectedly. I got a WireWorld Nano-Platinum Eclipse headphone cable that I plan to use mostly with my Meze Elite.

Then I got some super-nice and somewhat rare EL84s to use in my Quicksilver Headphone Amp.

Mentioned this on HFG, but got my hands on the Goldplanar GL-AMT16.

Man, AMTs need j u i c e in order to sound good, like desktop level. Once the beast is fed though, pretty phenomenal experience. Really sounds like the LCD-5 in IEM form, with all its tuning quirks and detail.

Honestly considering something like a Fiio M17 just to drive this thing. I mentioned in my preliminary notes that it couldn’t handle busy music, but tbh that doesn’t seem to be the case when on my Singxer SA-1. Dunno how that works.

Sweet mat. Although I think it would just make me hungry all the time.

errr… must resist :grimacing: ever since I got back into physical book collecting and reading light novels I have had the insane urge to just start buying figures & statues, even though I know the only thing that awaits me is the destruction of my bank account  it doesn’t help that the site I go to order LN has a huge selection of figures right there at my fingertips haha

Its already done that. And buyers remorse set in cause I was hungry looking at it lol

Oh yeah, how does it preform with less power hungry headphones (like the utopia)?
