Omega Mikro In short, I like them!
Oooo ye olde school speaker wire design.
When I first got into hifi in the late 80’s the two schools of speaker wire design were suspended thin copper conductors, and big ass shielded cables.
Interested in how you would describe the sound change.
Some feedback in the Omega speaker thread!
What, those look gorgeous.
BRO I TOTALLY LOVE THE LOOKS OF THOSE
I bit the bullet, secured a Zahl HM1 for next year. My wallet hates me, especially because it’ll take a few good months before it gets here (heard rumors of March?) but the FOMO was too real.
Woo hoooo!!! Congrats @orrman
I have a feeling you’re going to be as impressed as everyone else who’s heard it!!
congrats!
These headphones sometimes take some time to “get them”, take your time and enjoy the ride
congrats,
as orrman said, it could take some time to appreciate them for what they are and their presentation. But everyone’s ears are different, and you could “get them” immediately. Either way, I’d be interested to hear your impressions of them as you get some hours on them.

Brise mikumari ref. ii / mysphere
I’m excited to try this out!
@Towa In case you were curious, aug 17 - sep 22
Btw, brise makes hp amps? Never seen this on their website, perhaps it’s a custom one, maybe?
sweet! and yeah I was quoted mid November on mine… apparently they have gotten quite a few orders due to this recent sale. oh well it’s just 2 months
Damn fancy. I still don’t own any serious headphone
They’re nice but to some thick skull headed folks like me, 2 CH presents a much more tangible sound. I don’t know why but the experience, engagement, sense of wow when everything clicks always feels more rewarding.
There’s nothing that can compete with the physical experience of a 2ch system (or 2.1) and that for me brings a smile on my face that headphones simply can’t. That said, most of the time I can’t listen to speakers so I enjoy both!
An opportunity to sample a muti-channel sub setup. Thanks @driftingbunnies
I can honestly say that I can’t think of anyone that would disagree with you, Headphones are just a more viable option for most people. Due to size, noise, price & general living situation.
I know, it’s an expensive need for many. It’s just that currently I’ve realized that I have more $$$ invested in cans than I do my speakers, and I’m upside down in my investment based on my listening enjoyment. Going to be re-evaluating everything soon.
Headphones take a lot less commitment as well. I think people are afraid of looking into speakers just cause of the time and effort so they resort to super convenient soundbars or computer speakers and then headphones become a luxury thing. I just chuckle though when people spend 5 figures on a headphone setup without even trying a speaker setup.
