I’ve yet to try any of the Beyer “T” headphones. I have a set of DT880 600ohm that are modified balanced, and I really enjoy those. It makes me think I would appreciate some of these higher-end Beyer cans. I’ll have to keep an eye out for these on the used market…

I personally wasn’t a big fan of the T1.2 and neither was mochi (who I sold my pair to), but I know a lot of other people who do like them, so I dunno…

I haven’t given up lol, Alb’s Bakoon HPA-01M will be on my way soon and I am looking forward to hearing what/how current drive amp can transform them
@elementze personally, I find the T1.2 closer to the newer Beyerdynamic tuning (thinking something like DT900Pro X, Tygr 300R or Amiron but the last one is too extreme) that is a bit warmer, perhaps even slightly veiled, whereas the DT880 is quite neutral bright leaning and transparent so imo they aren’t exactly comparable.

Hasnt been an issue thus far and there is a camera pointing directly at my desk. Plus, tbh, if you know its worth stealing you also know there are only like 4 places to try ajd sell it which makes it easier

So last week I decided to have my Diana V2 sent back in to Abyss for a new headband. My old pre revision headband was starting to warp and the leather was flaking and about to tear in certain spots. My Diana V2 was purchsed used and thus no warranty coverage, so I paid $200 for the replacement. I received it back yesterday (4 days total with shipping time) which was quick, but I live in Cleveland and that is only a 4 hour drive from Buffalo. They also either gave me new earpads, or realigned, resealed and added new adhesive to my old pads because the seams used to be crooked and suddenly they are perfectly parallel.
The revised version headband is leaps and bounds more comfortable than the older headband. It is comfortable enough now that I don’t need to use the Beautiful Audio Headband Pad Wrap that I had been using.
I wanted to share that I had nothing less than an exceptional customer service experience. There have been a few stories out there about customers receiving poor experiences with Abyss, but my own experience was the total opposite. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience.

I think that sometimes it depends on how you approach or present yourself to the customer service.
If you come across as an asshole, it can happen that you get an asshole answer.
By asshole I mean arrogant and saying things like "I paid a lot of money for this thing, what kind of quality is this?
And then I want to have a completely new pair of headphones.
Most people forget that such things are subject to wear and tear.
I think if you show them that you like the headphones or the product, they tend to be more accommodating and helpful.
Rather than directly breaking off the conversation and signalling "see for yourself how you get on.
I’m sure there are companies out there that have lousy customer support and don’t offer much help.
Unfortunately, there are more than you think.
The best support for me has always been US support.
Not even in the EU is the support as good as in the US.
Audeze ZMF Dan Clark are great supporters in terms of restoring headphones to what they were.
Also on the amp and dac side there is very good and great interest.
I’m glad that you have successfully and satisfactorily restored it and I hope you continue to have fun and enjoy it.

We have cameras and hardly anyone in the office and i still had people go through my desk drawers. Like day 1 of getting the desk too.
A matter of fact i accidentally kept one of those nylon bags used for grocery shopping next to my desk and either someone took it or the cleaning crew put in the garbage.

That is a good point! Selling this gear does require a certain level of insider knowledge.

Nice to hear that you are enjoying them. I am interested in what you think about them after some extended listening time.
I personally didn’t care for the LCD-24 due to a narrow band peak somewhere in the mid to upper treble that really bothered me and made things sound overly shimmery. It made certain things sound artificial. The lows and mids on the LCD-24 were very good though to my ears. I also really like the build with newer cups, mesh screen, and gimbals.
