@Milkman76 Sorry to hear this, but thanks for the heads up. Let us know which you end up getting…hopefully with glorious results!
This is both good/bad for us. Bad because of the hassle and the refund money we have to wait for, but good because my wife and I both agree that we would like to explore home theater/surround a bit more, and this is possibly the chance to do so. As is traditional with my wife and I, we immediately went and viewed high-end Marantz 9.2 channel systems, etc, to rev our engines up a bit. =P
Crutchfield has convinced me that these are not defective en masse, and they will pull 1 more of these, test it themselves, and then ship once its confirmed to be good. I agreed to this because I do like the bar and it is possible this damage is happening in shipping. So… Ill update on this once more in a few days after they test and ship another new one. I continue to secretly hope they are all defective so I can build something much more ridiculous. ![]()
@Milkman76 Got it! We’ll wait! ![]()
If you’ve never dabbled with surrounded starting with 5.1 or 5.2 will be a very very impressive upgrade. If bought right the 2.1 or 2.2 can be an awesome music system as well obviously. Gives you so many options to play with.
That’ll be my recommendation at least before diving head first into Atmos, ceiling speakers etc
We have focused on 2 channel audio for decades, and I built a Marantz series 30 + SACD 30N + klipsch rp-8000F floorstanding system last year for the bedroom. That system is a dream, and we may some day swap out the klipsch speakers for something like a pair of B&W or the better 4ohm klipsch. But we have no good TV in the bedroom, lol.
Our big room/family room has a nice LG OLED, and the built-in sound system isnt too bad, but this is where the surround idea kicked in for us. I really wanted to hear what center channel/voice sounds like, and so I thought a good 5 or 7.1 soundbar might be a quick, easy, form-fitting solution.
Honestly Im on pins and needles, lol. If the Sony soundbar falls through, we will go to nakamichi or marantz or somebody. I really should stick with the cheaper soundbar, though.
EDIT: Sorry about the deleted posts – I keep forgetting to “reply” to the person Im replying to. ![]()
You will fucking love it mate, got my 48" for my desk setup/movie watching, have it all condenced into one system and its so good. Tbf its contrast is so good it sets my eyes off xD but thats just me having fucked eyes haha.
Defo when u get it slam it in all the reference modes and remove all the bs and itll be fab, my fav part that I recently discovered unlike my older tv this will actually passthrough Dolby through optical so I can use my ancient AVR with it and itll actually work perfect haha was happy about that, debated getting the rest of the Qaccoustics 3000 range to make a 5.1 setup now xD.
Always forget to post in here but bought another Vinyl,
Basically a single but with alot of different versions should be fun
Still cant wait for my preorder of the Made in abyss OST 2 to arrive
Don’t have 1 but can always hope for a repress haha

That’s awesome! You tried so much gear in the last couple of years. It’s nice to see that you’ve found what you love.
Look at you acting like he wont find some new grail weve never heard of ![]()
Always been curious about those, lol. What’s the verdict?
It works great, I was able to pretty easily vacuum out some ear goop that had lodged a little too far into one of the sound bores. It comes with a lot of different tips for the syringe too, ranging from wide mouth tips for single bore or smaller metal tube tips, and several plastic bendy tips for going in deep and around curves in the bore.
This is legit emotional for me, around 2018 I bought a LG V30 because it had a great camera and at the time I had only like 80 dollar cell phones. But I saw reviews mentioning an amazing Quad dac. That lead me to two things, good headphones to see what this amazing audio experience is all about (DT990 600OHMs are what I bought LOL, had to be at near 100 volume for it to be loud enough lol) and the other thing it led me to buy from the LG app store 24 bit music that they released specifically to show the capabilities of their dac. At that time I bought one song from an Artist names 고서이 (Go Seo Yee), the song was 나비 (Butterfly) and it was my first ever experience with lossless music, post modern piano music. Since then I got into audio and more diversity in music and I was unable to ever find 고서이 (Go Seo Yee) music lossless and even my Korean friend was able to find Mp3s for it at the time. It hasn’t been a super active hunt but throughout these years I’ve been looking for these lossless and only now 4 years later they showed up on Qobuz and I bought them! I sooooooooo look forward to hearing them in their lossless form and am sooooooo grateful I was able to find them. They really take me back to alot of new beginnings.
@Littledrummerboy Great story and a great find. Happy for you!
Thanks @TempoTim! I was just listening to Melody Garden album today wishing I could find it lossless and I was blessed to be able to finally do so.
Mate you have no idea how many people have gotten into hifi thanks to a v30, its really really popular here in mexico, grats and I think I might check out Go Seo Yee
I got a pair of akg k612, I had never listened to anything by akg in my life, I was browsing amazon and I thought I would send them back after testing.
But holy cow, I never thought I would like a 100 dlls headphone this much, I just cant stop listening to it, it really hits the sweet spot for me in its FR. Its the most chill thing ever.
I like it so much I would prefer it over much more expensive headphones I would happily pay 500+ for this sound
Now im definitely going to need to hear the k812
