so damned neat, organized and FANCY looking. Didn’t your mama teach you that you’re gonna go blind sitting that close to the TV

Is that for streaming or just good AV for work? What do you use the bottom screens for?

is that the ikea gerton table or something else?

What are you using to hold the smaller displays? A tablet stand?

Thanks for the update. I love these diagrams!

Have you considered moving the NUC to the other side of the mesh network, connecting directly to the mikro tik switch? Since the NUC is essentially buffering the data for network streaming to endpoints, keeping the mesh wireless traffic out of this might reduce latency or interruptions. Internet streaming to the NUC would still be wireless, but the RAAT traffic would all be hard-line Ethernet.

Funny you ask. I hadn’t because I simply haven’t had the room. A year into living in our new place, we’ve been able to whittle down things streamlined our day to day living and I’ve made space in my office specifically for that. I was able to move my laser printer into a closet using a mesh endpoint funnily enough and as such will be moving the NUC over precisely for that reason!

My desk is deeper now so it’s actually further away. Might need to get a 48".

If I stream, I have to change up the setup a little. Most of the time I use it as a webcam for work. When I work from home, I use my 4k monitor for work and then the bottom two for personal like discord and youtube, etc.

It’s actually a karlby island countertop. My gerton was too small.

Yeah something like that.

Other than just enjoying music daily obviously, the plan for the next few weeks (months?) is listening to each headphone with a few test tracks and analyze in a bit more depth what I’m missing and what I’ll be looking for in cables (interconnects and power). On the speakers side it’s placement, subwoofer integration and room treatment.

This system and headphones collection are just simply amazing.

Got myself new keycaps and I got this shot showing them off just wanted to share it. The keyboard rabbit hole is awful

Nice! What switches are you using? That’s a 60% layout right? Hardcore…

Thanks! I’m using boba u4t’s filmed and lubed with tribosis 3203 lube. yeah 60% is not my favorite layout I’m more of a 98% or 1800 layout kind of guy but once you get to it 60% really isn’t that bad but trust me it did take me some time to get used to and I’m certainly not at full typing speed with this guy yet cause the small right shift key is proving impossible to get used to

I use Alpaca V2 lubed and filmed on my QK65. I won’t go lower than 65% and if I’d do it all over I’d probably go for 75% or TKL

nice. i’m still waiting for my qk65 to arrive lots of shipping mishaps have caused a major delay. at this point my qk60 is probably going to show up faster.

I tried a lot of layouts all the way down to the 60% Poker, and just couldn’t make them work for me, relocating delete was the killer for me, but I actually use function keys, I use pretty much exclusively TKL now.

The best trick for 60% is swap the FN key and the Capslock key, so you can use function with your left hand, since you use it pretty much exclusively with the arrow keys for Home/End Page Up/Down, works a lot better than it being on the right.

Elon Musk’s Neuralink network wants to implant something in your head that will allow you to control devices and it’s going live by 2023. He’s not going to go first. All your keyboarding issues could be solved.
