It’s nice how much an integrated amp thins down the equipment clutter.

Those speaker stands are money :pinched_fingers:

The reflection on that left speaker fucked with my head a bit. I thought the back was hollow or something.

Is that a Chemex on the coffee table being used to hold Christmas decorations? As a coffee addict / connoisseur I find this a little disturbing! Using one of the best tools for making an exceptionally good cup of coffee to hold basic plastic holiday decorations feels like sacrilege. I could recomend a clear plastic vase that could do the same job for <10x the price :upside_down_face:

Hahaha yes. I have them all, but I’m a v60 through and through. I end up using my chemex the least. Can’t help how sexy it looks through, hence it makes a very classy decoration

I meant to ask you last time you posted your setup but, how do you like that monitor lamp/light? I’ve been thinking about getting one of those recently to help me with seeing my keyboard while typing at night time lol which one is that? any impressions you could give is much appreciated.

As you can see in the first picture at night, it actually glares off the bottom screens which I don’t like. If you don’t have something like that though, it’s actually a great light to have. When I purchased it, the ultrawide version didn’t exist so unfortunately mine doesn’t extend forward anymore. If it could, it would’ve been perfect. I really like it though and would recommend it to anyone considering one.

sweet! do you care sharing which light it is?I’m gonna look into getting one

I got the BenQ screenbar. There’s a ton of third party ones now but totally up to you. I don’t really know if the BenQ is that much better but when I was looking, some reviewers just said to go for the BenQ one instead of the random third party one.

The towers have been downgraded to full time entertainment use but it means I’ll be hearing them a lot more :hugs:

Note: The platform the Powernode is sitting on it to give the cables clearance over that back panel since the stand is very shallow lol

What is the LTA PSU connected to? The Z10 or something else?

I’ve just been through the whole shelf stack rigmarole, with the caveat that it very much had to be budget. I looked at making my own using wood and furniture legs but it very quickly became as expensive as an off the shelf… shelf.

In the end I got a shallow 5U rack box and shelf from Thomann, some cork sheets as a dampening material, and came up with this:

I’ve been using cork more and more for vibration / ground loop via case isolation as I like the look, texture and renewable source of the material. For some individual items I was already using cork coasters so it was an easy step to move up to whole shelf sheets that I can cut to size myself.

I was worried about vibration initially but once I added the weight of the gear into it this was no worse than when it sat directly on the desk, if not better, and that’s all I look for from that. Speaker position is not ideal but my space is limited and there is nowhere else for it to be on that side.
