Okay this is the other thread I wanted to bring back. As someone who loves taking pictures of their stuff and sharing, as well as looking at everybody else’s stuff, this will be fun.
Post your setup here, whether it be at a desk or in a cozy corner with a comfy chair or even at your bedside. No limits here portable setups are welcome as well as speakers and home theaters. Hell I even welcome gaming and work station setups, workbenches too. If you are proud of it and want to share then go for it.
Pictures of individual gear is welcome but might be better served in the appropriate thread for that particular piece. If a thread doesn’t exist already, make it and start the discussion off with a nice picture
All that source gear looks like serious shit and also nice setup, i really like what you have going on with the triple monitors, a super wide one, diagonal one and the normal one at the top.
Amps and sound black blox xlr to rca converter. From their website:
“This approach lowers noise floor, improves bass presentation including attack, balance, and depth. Midrange is improved with greater separation and depth. Transformers aid in the reduction of Sibilance and reduction of high-frequency hash.”
I had got it when i had the Yggy so i could use its XLR instead of the RCA which is not as great, and since the Form S is single ended only. Made a pretty substantial difference and was pretty happy with it.
The La Voce xlr and rca are somewhat equal, but adding the black box does improve the bass response and adds a nice smooth coloration too without loosing detail, compared to just the rca. I was thinking of selling it, but spent some time with and without and decided to keep it. lol
The only reason I’m not getting all jelly here is because I’m a committed 2 channel speaker guy. Otherwise, I’d be feeling a bit inadequate in my HP game.
Just regular ol’ Porta Pros with Yaxi pads. Actually sounds really good and super punchy and decently spacious. Intended as tongue in cheek but I started listening and haven’t stopped yet so maybe not.
Ah, i was just messing around with it, and i did leave it on, thanks for pointing it out cause i dont really look over there too often as my amp is on my desk lol
I’m a fan of the Porta-Pro myself too, especially for a lot of the more bass heavy music I like to listen to sometimes. They are such a fun set to mess around with even on higher end gear.
When I got my V281 I listened to it for the first 15 minutes or so with the inverted phase output, lol. Luckily I was quick to take pictures of it for a similar thread on another forum. Someone was kind enough to point it out for me.
