It took me a whole weekend to get all the panels lined up perfectly. Nine in total. If you guys ever get the chance to hear some Tektons, take it! Endgame worthy.

Set the way back machine to 1989! My wife found this picture, so forgive the poor quality as it’s a picture of the picture. You can still clearly see my Carver stack on the shelf, a piece of the NAD CD player on the right and just below the Carver stuff you can see the Nakamichi Cassette player. Don’t remember the model but it was the one above their entry level one. I was very proud I’d sprung for the next level at the time. You know, cassettes where everything in your car. lol
Also note the Donald Fagen and New Order CDs in the frame.

Nice setup! I miss cassette tapes for only one reason- mix tapes. They were hard to do so when someone made a good one is was like a little treasure.
The acid washed jeans bring me back, too. My wife still tells stories about saving up for a set of Z. Cavarichi’s (no clue how to spell that).

First of all, shout out to you for being in this audio game for literally decades! That’s awesome to see man, also i absolutely looooove the old timey look of the picture! Guess that’s because it’s actually a old and timey picture lol. Thanks for sharing it! As a fan of photography it’s nice to have seen this picture. Looks like it’s straight out of a jeans catalog from the late 80s early 90s

Setups are both temporary. Once my Soekris dac2541 ships out and arrives, that will be paired with my V281 upstairs on my PC chain. Then the Soekris dac1321 will move downstairs to my work from home chain and pair with the V200.

Do you notice any difference at all between the BHC you built and the one you had built for you?

I am not sure since I didn’t have both to listen to at the same time. It just may be a mental thing, but I swear it does sound like I have a little bit better treble extension…but can’t say for certain.
