DDC vs no DDC - clear improvement in detail and stage.
Local Clock vs Stream clock - for me a barely perceptible difference. Using the clock on the Matrix seemed to increase stage a tiny bit. But it might be, for me at least, a difference without a benefit.
That said, the clock in the Rockna is supposed to be high quality and well implemented. So perhaps a greater benefir is to be had with a DAC with a lower performing clock…or a DDC with a higher!!

Was looking for a specific pic for another reason, but doing so took me through memory lane in my google photos.The nostalgia of all this gear is real! I spent probably a whole half an hour just looking at alot of my past setups thinking what a shame that I couldn’t appreciate them more.

Nice!! Love my dt 880/600 too. How do you like the bifrost/asgard combination? (I have the asgard and am very close to getting the bifrost.) Big jump from lesser dacs, I’ve heard.) I’m always slow to decide, lol.

Its a great little device you can program it to control specific programs kb 1 is my browser, knob 2 is discord, 3 is current app, and 4 is for music bee. You can also use it to switch between DACS. if I press 3 it cycles between all the DACS i have plugged in to easily switch from my liquid spark dac , bifrost and my d10 which is connected to my speaker amp. Its so good, but feels super cheap, knob quality sucks and made out of platic but its functionally awesome. I will warn it took like 2 months for it to get to me and emailing the pc panel people got me nowhere cause they never replied.

I am very familiar with the 250 ohm and TBH I kinda prefer the 250 ohm. I find the tuning to be much more pleasant the 600 ohm is a bit sharper and more unforgiving, great out of my liquid plat though.
