If you enjoy more experimental rock, or wonder what it would be like if the singer from the B52s made a post-punk single

Not gonna lie the last song of Misako Odani - off you go was def my favorite! it was more ānormalā lol! I respect Seikoās creativity and you can tell she legit enjoys being very experimental but the first two songs just felt like she was screaming into the mic a bit  i also liked her last song where in the vid shes outside singing to people since it felt a bit more normal lol. I do find it interesting however that theres music like the other songs that she made. So thanks for the share.
After listening to your selection its super interesting how we end up loving the same type of gear⦠and the complete opposite type of music
Yeah the first two are first take versions of those songs so their is a definite focus on her and her technique. And yes she incorporates a lot of raw emotion and screaming in her vocals, but that is what stands out a lot of the time in her material. When you check out the lyrics it really hits home all the emotion and meaning behind some of the over the top vocalizations.
And yeah Misaki is a classic, i love coming back to some of her greatest songs
I am Generally in the Hate part of the country music spectrum but this song hit different. I was literally driving home in the middle of the night on a country road. spotify needs to stop making me question my tastes like this

Hey everyone! Glad to see some familiar names here, and thought this would be a good place to say hello. As I told @M0N, Iām not so much of a regular consumer lately so I donāt know how active Iāll be, but from the names Iām seeing, this is where Iād want to be if Iām going to be anywhere. Here are 3 tracks Iāve been listening to of late:
Willie Nelson covering Paul Simonās Graceland, and itās way better than I ever would have expected it to be. Itās a 28 year old song that I may have heard, but it stopped me in my tracks this weekend:

Lydia Loveless āLove is Not Enoughā. Personal favorite act of mine. Really great vocals, but no one is listening:
Lastly, this is my genuine favorite find this year. Truly the only Satanic Doo-Wop band I have ever heard of, and they are honestly unironically really really good. They are seriously Satanists, but they have fun with it writing āSuitable for Ritual Useā on all their album jackets:
Edit: one more thatās been in the rotation. I like this guyās voice, but I canāt listen to too much in one sitting:

Welcome! I find there is a bit more general hobby chat going on here that makes it interesting even when one isnāt on a buying spree.
This is on my demo/test/show-off-my-gear playlist. Love the string texture.
