I think that was the intent, to create more breathing room for anything put on top, like one of their integrated amps.

Thank you! It did take a long time. Next time I buy a DAC I’m going to avoid buying during a global supply shortage or from a region impacted by full scale modern war.

A Mutec 1.1+ DDC. I am running AES xlr in from a volumio pi and this is now reclocking and cleaning up the signal before distributing via optical and coaxial. It would also do so via AES coaxial if I had anything that needed that. I do notice a pretty big quality improvement from this setup compared to volumio - usb - D10s to coaxial and optical. Too much changed to really compare, but this is very clear and detailed compared to what usb + D10s was giving to things.

Don’t let the haterz dampen your game. They scale quite a lot. They’ll never be at the leet lvl list the Sus or 1266 but they sound glorious without having to invest the cost of a new car into the chain.
