What have you purchased recently?

The TF has been my favorite input tube on the BHC. It is crucial when using the hd800s to tame treble spikes.

ECC88 is a 6922 tube. Considering the G73 demands a premium price might be worth checking how the equivalent heavy weights compare esp the Tele ECC82 , French 6211s and the Siemens Silver/Chrome plates

I want an AIC so badly after reading through the thread… just curious in 1-2 years what would be your best guess on used prices for them?

They’ve been around for at least 4 years, so I wouldn’t see a break in pricing anytime soon, short of Riviera replacing the model or something.
Like a lot of the higher end headphone stuff, they are rare enough, and desirable enough to hold disproportionate used value.

yeah so perhaps $8k is what I would need to shoot for on a budget to save for… Damn not sure I’ll get there before I buy other goodies. Oh well.

One recently sold for 9k.

8-9 is where they have been. That said, aic discontinued the pld model and came out with a bal input option (internals are the se between the two) whil bumping rrp to 15.5k eur. While there is some hagling to be had, tbh, it wasnt as much as i was expecting and certainly not down to near used pricing…

My guess is that the drop in value from a new model comming out and the new model going up in price will leave them ultimately at a similar place to where they have been tbh

That same one is back up in canada for 9.5

Im loving this G73R (not much context with 12Au7 yet though, but I was not a massive fan of the telefunkens in my liquid crimson tbh. A bit too warm and slow compaired to the 70s phillip harleen I have (which is already suppose to be only just an alright tube in terms of speed and detail)

Susvara. Just arrived today and am about to sit down for an extended listening session. Got these new for a good deal.

Chain for these is Bricasti MC1 → Flux Volot. Need to get a nicer cable for them. The one on there now is a lqi cable, not sure what model though.

Congrats!! That’s an awesome setup! Susvara is special.

I have to admit it, whenever I see the word flux a part of my mind says “One point twenty-one Jigga-Watts!!”

I did the same thing months ago @Towa, i purchased a pair of nos WE’s. Unfortunately my deaf ears could not tell any difference. I am very intersted to hear what results you get trying the different tube. :+1:

I needed a new chair (the old leather one I have is worn out) so my partner ordered me this one.

I was inspired by @Littledrummerboy ’s comfy chair. I like the ability to sit ‘Indian-style’, and this one was very comfortable when I sat in it.
