It’s a really great soundtrack.
It’ hard to beat the tactility of a well done LP.
Would love to hear more about the gryphon. That looks like a super awesome product and initially interested me alot
Im gonna write a proper impressions / review in the ifi thread when the time comes but for now ill say
Most of my stuff remains in the sub 1k category so this product is still extremely relevant in my chains (as a dac or amp) and as portable dac/amp by itself (this is its best use case by far, all of my headphones sound great and not underpowered, except the he6)
The way it sounds, the no nonsense approach of its features, best xbass implementation ever imo; I feel like it could have easily costed 750.
The reviews are out there and most of the ones I watched/read agree its their favorite ifi product to date, its mine as well for sure.
Ps: the volume sync feature, which can be turned off, syncs windows and android volumes with the ifi is my favorite thing ever, I can control the volume from my device and it will change on the ifi as well
I got a Pangea cable yesterday from Amazon for my amp. As always, could all be in my head, but it does sound better to me. I swear the noise floor on my amp is a tick quieter. The music feels just a tiny bit more popped out, like there was a contrast filter set too low and this cable moved it a notch back to neutral.
P.S. cable management is hard. My wires can’t hide behind anything but the amp itself so tying everything together and making it all neat only does half the job.
Appliances for the kitchen renovation.
Yeah baby, my headphone collection is finally complete, next comes upgrading the gear
Just like with the clear mg and og, one is staying the other one will have to go
Thanks to @krack for passing the offer, and tyvm my boi @Littledrummerboy this purchase wouldnt have been possible without your help
Hey hey, very nice! I also preferred the OG to the MG, but I haven’t heard either of these LCD models, so I’m curious to see which one will stay!
Spoiler alert: it will most likely by a good margin be the LCD 2pf, the tuning of the LCD 2c completely got me back when i had them, but it also had many many downsides… The pf has the tuning I want with none of the shortcomings.
That said if it was an LCD XC instead of X then that would be a much harder choice for me
Wa33 elite.
I liked the wa33 so much that I had to even though I really should be getting an energizer instead…
Congratz,.
Have fun with it and enjoy the beatiful Masterpiece.
I haven’t gotten ears on it yet, but I bought a used PerfectWave Power Plant 3 (not the current Stellar model) that arrived today and it seems to be in really nice condition!
It’s bigger and heavier than I expected, lol. Also, the house I live in was built a century ago and the electrical in this house is pretty bad, so I’m excited to finally get a Power Plant in.
Curious on your thoughts. The dealer I got my allnic from had said he doesn’t recommend regenerators for tube gear w/ transformers. Didn’t really ask for an explanation cause I wasn’t looking into one at the time, but who knows.
I actually randomly bid on this and won the auction. I’ve wanted to try one for a while.
Mine is the now discontinued “Lite” version which only has Roon support.
The daughter board inside it came loose in shipping, I reseated it, and everything is working.
Auction didn’t include a PSU, so I have to pick up an LPS for it, but it sounds pretty good with the switching unit I’m currently using
Probably one of the last Zmf Auteurs that are still available in this form before the update comes.
Unfortunately in Ambrosia maple, hope for a dark wood colour.
