Im ootl. What toaster is that? It looks weird
Hello
this is from Mitsubishi Electric
Apparently there is a little science to it for perfect toast.
I don’t know exactly how it works but it sounds like it preserves the heat with some kind of microelectronics that set different cycle times with some kind of combination that also creates the perfect moisture to keep the toast cross and fluffy.
As I said, a science in itself but also worthwhile.
You can do everything with it, fry bacon, French toast, scrambled eggs and much more.
I have tried many things to save this money.toast in the pan or oven but it does not come close to the Mitsubishi.
Above all, it retains the aroma, which is extraordinary.
It takes about twice the time as a toaster but it’s so much more delicious.
It’s like the first time you ate toast as a little boy.
Got a couple of shorty Anticables 6.2, courtesy @DDT (highly recommended seller)
A clear difference from my Wireworld Silver Eclipse. I’m a believer!!
Which one do you prefer?
Good question. On First listen? The anticables are sharper and better defined, which gives my chain’s generally laid back character a nudge in a positive direction. I could imagine choosing the Silver Eclipse with a chain that’s on the bright or incisive side.
Well, I just ordered a Denafrips Pontus II directly from Vinshine Audio. I figured with all of the potential for variance with the upgraded components, it would make more sense to buy directly. That way I have a surefire warranty as well.
Also forgot to mention I’ll be pairing it with my Luxman P-1u, so im looking forward to that combination together.
I went a little psycho today, mainly because a few great deals with hard-to-find tubes fell in my lap.
In the next few weeks, I’ll be able to roll and decide between matched pairs of:
Sylvania 6sn7 chrome tops
Sylvania 3 hole bad boys
and Melz Russian 6n8s
My baseline is RCA VT-231.
What is it?
Carbon Based Lifeforms - Stochastic
It is an ambient album.

I haven’t watched an audio review for months. I just watch Uncle Roger
I got sucked into the rice cooker hype.
It uses a standard c15 power cable. So of course I am using a 10AWG audiophile power cable.
So the Rice have a better Taste for sure, lool.
Rice cookers are great! I highly recommend a rice cooker to basically anyone.
(Though funnily enough, a couple years ago after my old rice cooker broke, I started cooking rice with a pressure cooker instead and it does a good enough job that I’m still using it today. I should probably re-buy a proper rice cooker again, lol.)
I own a rice cooker and pretty much exclusively use a pressure cooker for rice now, I find it more consistent than the rice cooker was.
I just use a stovetop pot like a psychopath
I use a rice pot i litteraly pulled out of the trash as a freshman in college. Probabaly cost $10 new. Makes great rice
I am equally dysfunctional.
Yesterday we were talking about toasters today about cooking rice, lool.
I also cook it in a pot which is probably not good because of the aroma that gets lost.
A rice cooker is probably better for that.
I’ve never tried it to be honest.
Does it take a lot of time?
In Germany, we have pre-filled rice bags that cook in the pot for 10 minutes and that’s it.
I use brown rice and a pot…rice/waterx2 and a small dash of olive oil.
Boil, then simmer, covered 45min. Just have to plan ahead a bit, lol.
Ques. tho…does a rice cooker improve texture or flavor? or just quicker and more convenient?
It’s basically impossible to overcook rice in a rice cooker, they cook until the water is evaporated or absorbed, they usually use a special measuring cup that purports to be 1 Cup, but is actually the amount of rice you use to one 1 cup of water, not one standard measuring cup.
The mechanism the basic ones use is quite ingenious, basically they run until the center of the pot starts to rise above the boiling point of water (all the waters gone).
The Zojirushi and expensive/complicated ones like depicted above are much cleverer.
Pressure cookers are sealed, so you get a somewhat different effect the rice to water volume is pretty much constant for all forms of rice (what’s termed wild rice isn’t rice), so it’s just cooking for enough time for the water to be absorbed.
