Nice, congrats
Did you get all settled with interconnects and power cables too?
Those look so cozy on a cold day!
Beautiful cable! Hurts my wallet to think about it
Haha yeah I saw that when it was first posted and had one of those “how can I make this work?” moments
Congrats!
Ordered me a Mani 2 today because I still like being able to enjoy cheap things. Also because I won’t be able to buy anything over $500 in the foreseeable future* due to a rather sudden decision for my GF and I to buy a townhome this year Funny enough this was the most upset she’s been out of my purchases because we have the original version and she hates wasting stuff haha.
- By “not buy anything” I mean besides getting a decent DAC for my living room. I’ll find the funds… Somewhere…
Purchased and pre-loaded. I’m so ready for this
I’m playing Horizon Forbidden West
sweet! I bet it is awesome, I’m waiting for the pc port to play. I’m so over buying consoles for exclusives lol as long at they are coming to steam eventually i can just wait. Nintendo is the big problem though, very doubtful we will ever see a first party nintendo game on anything but a nintendo console
GMG? I see they were sponsoring all over in reviews but i am not sure i can get down with their practices.
I am 100% off the hype train for that game, which is good because i can join today and not have the dreaded wait for release. I honestly didnt realise this was out so soon now im scrambling to see if my buddies will be grabbing it too.
I loved the DS games solo, but i had such a blast goofing around summoning my buddies.
Yes gmg. They are one of the only reliable key sites out there, they are legit as far as I’m aware.
I have only seen the official trailers and game play reveal, and have not checked out any of the various coverage including the network test stuff leading up to release. So I’m going in pretty blind from a content and gameplay perspective.
But from what I have heard from various people and the bit of non spoiler assessments from some content creators I trust, is this game is the real deal. It’s currently sitting at a 97 on metacritic which puts it in range with some of the most highly rated games and is in the top 15 rated games of all time atm. Out of 47 critic reviews over 25 are perfect scores and none of them are below a 90.
The numbers are ridiculous. Only four more hours until it unlocks on steam. Hype is intensifying
Well, I have been dying to pull the trigger on myself 2 channel for a while and these had been on my radar since my plans of getting Ohm Walsh 1000’s were squashed with the price jump last fall. Friggin’ stoked! Brian at Holt Hill was very helpful and gave me a great deal on a demo set that I couldn’t refuse.
…but who’s counting??
Have fun tonight!!
I’m interested in what you think of the PC version, one of the people I follow on twitter was saying even with a 3080 they were having perf problems and swapped to playing on the PS5.
I admit it intrigues me, but I really did not like the souls games.
From one reviewer a 3600x and 2080ti kept it stable at 60+fps (its locked at 60 even on pc) at 1440p but 4k chugged.
It looks like his setting were all high.
He did mention microstutters did hit hard no matter what in specific places.
@Towa or anyone else, did you know how coop is do e? Is it normal join a game coop or more of the souls, get summoned only for a little type thing?
I’m running 5800x and 3070 at 1440p and its a solid 60 fully maxed, but yes there are some infrequent stutters depending on the area, not too bad though. unfortunately the game only supports 16:9 aspect ratio… I did not know this before lol otherwise I’d be running at 32:9 5120x1440 they really dropped the ball on utrawide support I mean come on, at least give me 21:9
the co op is pretty similar to how it’s done in other soul games, although it does feel better here due to the scale. it feels real nice to just explore the massive world with a friend. Just like souls where you summon until they either die or you beat a boss but with the way the game is laid out you could explore with a buddy for hours before that happens. The dungeons are done a little differently from the overworld, you have to wait to summon until you are in the dungeon otherwise you won’t be able to enter from the overworld. they do have this new mechanic called a summoning pool which i believe acts as a designated place for cooperative summons, dotted all over the map and in dungeons. pretty sure this is more for randoms, kinda their way of doing matchmaking in a more lore friendly organic way. i kinda find the idea interesting.
otherwise for specific summons you do the same as always, make a password and then put the sign down. the person doing the summoning has to use a item to allow them to see the sign but other than that…
Hopefully something like flawless widescreen will release a fix soon to use it on ultrawide in the meantime until hopefully there is something official. I know I had to use it with one or two of the older games from them
The issue apparently isn’t the average frame rate, In the latter parts of the game the PC version will pause for seconds at a time then run faster for a few seconds afterwards.
Hopefully a bug they work on.
I did pick it up in the end, though I now can’t find the wireless adapter for my XBox controller, so I can’t play until later.
Does it by any chance have Denuvo DRM included in it?
