It was packed very well and the outside was a packing tape fortress. I am keeping those foam sheets for reuse. Or maybe as insulation during this cold spell.

I have been itching for something just a bit different in a DAC for a short while now but have also been juggling expenses like everyone else does to make life somewhat work out. The recent price hikes across the board in goods and services have negated all recent cash inflow and actually turned things negative in some areas worse than in decades past. 
The passion we have for this hobby though means we get creative, put our heads down and plow through the bullshit life throws at us like mini-juggernauts.
I fumble fucked through the whole process but managed to work out a deal w/ Rob over at LampizatOr North who does business as Destination Sound Group out of LI, NY and work out a trade for my Amber 3 towards a Baltic-3 that didn’t break the bank so terribly as to leave my ass on fire for too long.
Thus hopefully sometime within the next 12 weeks or so I can spend my excess energy or at least what’s left of it, swapping tubes, cables, speakers and amps again chasing my tail w/yet another flavor of DAC and pretending to give the impression that I know what the hell i’m doing.

I won’t lie, I was eyeballing that piece real hard… real hard. Had the recent snowstorm not torn my yard up to shreds, and had I not been stuck on using the stash of tubes i have accumulated the past 2 years that shit would be doing duties all over my house and not yours. It’s a solid piece w/ good upgrades and will provide value well beyond what you just spent 
Enjoy the thing and know damned well you got a solid deal and piece of kit!

Come pick it up in person and say hi. Our sat ops MCR was literally around the block. Let me hiw it goes with them as I have not found a goos audio spot in person. Most of them are phantom sellers with no real retail space, or there is the city where most places font want to give you time.

As far as i can tell they should have an impressive showroom from some online pictures i saw. Unfortunately for me my unit is coming direct from Poland, There is no inventory sitting around on shelves, each piece is built to order per specific request.

Yeah, the person i spoke to last week was going to have a repair center ship them out to me. Then she got in trouble as that seems to be “hands off” stock. But if there is a repair shop near me maybe i have them “repair” the pads for me

@Souldriver , these 2 (Rob and Frank) are heavy hitters as far as authorized equipment goes but basically seem to work out of their home and a PO Box You can contact them : Home - Destination Sound Group
They each have a system in their homes they use to impress clients and write off on their taxes but honestly the vibe I get is if you’re not about to drop $20K + they may not be that interested in setting up a full demo for you. (Feel free to email or call and ask though, that’s just my gut feeling) No retail storefront space I was told.

Andromeda 2020 version! Took some burn in and other stuff for me to come around to it, fairly brighter sounding in comparison to the pacific blue Andromedas!. Dont have any words for them atm lol, partially because ive said plenty from when i owned the pacific blue Andromedas but also because i just feel like i need more time to properly assess certain things about those differences.
Ended up listening to them for 4 hours yesterday tho 
Gotta have a campfire in the house!
