Have you seen the Fuji fixed lens bodies such as X100V? Those are pretty sick.
I may have my eye on a Canon EOS R or RP in the future.

I’m still waiting for that GH6 to finally be released (though the Panasonic GH-cameras really are for video more than photo).

Nice, the Sony cameras look really nice and always wanted one. Ended up going with my fuji due to price but sign is really killing it with cameras and mirrorles in particular.
Yeah bro the xv100 looks dope af, not at an unattainable price but it’s fairly unattainable as it’s always sold out lol. Apparently universally loved by anyone who uses it that it picked up alot of stream. Also would that be your first mirorless camera? The eos RP or R

Panasonic now that’s another one you don’t hear of often with photography, anything about the GH6 that really interest you?

I mean, yes, but they’re all video features, lol. Looking forward to 10-bit 120fps, which also means a pretty fast sensor readout, so likely very little rolling shutter even at normal framerates. The current m43 sensors don’t even have BSI, so there’s also a decent chance we’ll see a big jump in low-light performance. Also, just, the new Panasonic cameras have come a long way, the GH5 /feels/ old after using any of the newer Panasonics.
On the photo side, almost every photo I’ve posted here was shot on a Panasonic camera, most of them on the GH5. It’s a really solid photo camera, especially for non-print work.

It would be. I am still using a DSLR and want to lighten my footprint for when I go travel. A mirrorless + pancake lens would be ideal for me right now.

A new Camphor Burl Verite Closed arrived today.
It’ll go nicely with the other ZMFs (Auteur and Atticus).

Camphor is one of my favorite burl woods, second to redwood burl which if ZMF did i think ill toss my money at them. Take some care as iirc it is a semi softer wood and you dont want to dent those babies.

Burl is just so awesome and Camphor burl is so complex and deep. I was fortunate enough to snag mine from a member here who in a moment of lunacy sold it to me. Sometimes I just look at the cups for a half minute or so before I put them on.

I litteraly dont want a pretty VC bacsue I dont want to have to worry about it. Id so much rather just buy an already somewhat beat up monkey pod that cant possibly lose more value if it still works…
