Damn, you kind of have to read the manual on those purchases no?
This button in particular looks like a lot of fun!

Sometimes lol, though I would say this is more on the straightforward side of things to me when it comes to studio gear, sometimes they’re not intuitive at all lol
It’s an interesting way to switch the internal amplifier and modify how the gain cell interacts. While there’s a lot of variance in color options for this comp, it’s more on the neutral/invisible side of things so the differences are only slight to my ear unless you’re really hitting it hard. I don’t typically find myself gravitating toward anything that bills itself under that “x number of sounds in one!” or “modeling” range trying to emulate a bunch of stuff, this unit has a good balance to me of offering smaller meaningful differences between modes but not trying to be something it’s not or stray too far from what it is. So far this isn’t as nice as the STC-8 with it’s auto param modes that just follows the signal and it’s amazing but as I get things dialed in I can hear the potential lol
Hit me with that vintage FAT
Have you ever looked into the wonderful world of synthesizers?
Speaking of people who haven’t posted in a while, I’m pretty sure I haven’t added a new headphone to my stable in at least two years. Like a lot of other friends here, it’s been a combination of life circumstances and being decently settled, but I’m really excited about this HEKUV that arrived in the mail today!
I’ve only gotten to listen to it for part of an afternoon, but so far, the hype is real. Expect more impressions to come.
A big thank you to @elementze for being a great seller, go buy their stuff!
Would be cool to hear your thoughts on the Allnic pairing!
Those do look really nice.
Congratulations man! Youve come a very long way! I still remember when you sold me both the clear MG and the Clear OG at the same time for super cheap and that made me decide the Focal Utopia OG would be my “endgame”.
Those Mysphere are looking menacingly in the background. Hope youre doing great!
…
Meanwhile I received these today
Those vibrations are about to meet their maker!
This P2 popped up on eBay; ex demo for a good price. Decided to gamble and try it out since hearing the limits of the Twelve Master with the Moondrop Cosmo during my first real listening session of that chain last week.
I need some real time with it but the four or five songs I listened to just before clocking off at least gave me confidence that it can adequately push/control the Cosmo.
How good is the Twele Master actually?
I saw one that was available for €1,000.
The Twelve Master is excellent. I really dig it’s take on neutrality. To tell the truth, there’s been so much churn, I haven’t gotten familiar enough with it to say much. I’d say it sounds in line with the various reviews I have seen/read. It just can’t quite push the Cosmo during my high volume Tool listening sessions, but everything I have sounds great on it; HD560s, through all my IEMs. Timeless sounds really good on it.
worth a try lmao
Its insanelly good, for 1k euro its a great pick
In the US there have been 2 just a bit cheaper, for 800 and 900 dlls.
They are the best priced to performance DAC+AMPs in the used market IMO, the CMA18 (desktop) as well.
The sound is close to neutral but with just the right amount of juice, it lets the headphones signature speak for itself.
Its main draw is that it sounds extremely liquid, as in the sounds flow continuously without ever stopping, while keeping extremely good separation.
Thanks! Yeah, it’s funny how just a few years ago it totally made sense to buy a headphone just to do the comparison since you could be pretty sure whichever one you wanted to sell would move. Also sending stuff to other countries was less scary then too, times have changed. o.o
I hope you’re doing well too!!
“Pure Dyson Sound”…?
The sound of a vacuum motor? Even at $199 I think I’ll pass. Let us know what you think. Mostly 1 and 2 star reviews on Amazon, so pretty bad…
I got the KPH30 wireless and it is suuuuuuper comfy. I put on Grado pads for the extra comfort and it’s super worth it.
Good looking headphones . Glad you are enjoying them! One of my absolute favorites!
Forgot to post this Apos Gremlin but ive had it for like 2 weeks now and im already writing in spanish my in depth impressions (maybe future review) so if you guys want them I can translate after I feel confident theyre ready to publish. (Where would I post them tho?)
Ive got well over 25 mostly over ears, on ears and a few iems ans earbuds.
For now I have my Exogal Comet Dac+ Only, but I may or may not receive a Merlin Dac since its sold out.
Also gonna try to make a few comparisons against other bigger tube amps, these bad boys:
I’d like to hear your thoughts, dude
Okay just got them hehe.
Packaging is really premium and the carrying case is super nice. Oh yeah, and I received the wrong color, lol.
Comfort is really good. They’re fairly heavy for bluetooth headphones but very tolerable imo.
Sound quality is better than my XM5’s and Airpods Max’s but they’re still pretty shallow sounding. They also don’t get that loud in bluetooth mode, maybe wired is louder but I haven’t tried that yet. They have a bit of white noise when they’re in ANC mode too.
They’ll be my go-to headphones for working outside (without the mask ofc).
