What have you purchased recently?

Would you mind sharing a picture of this and where its mounted in relation to your speakers/listening spot?
Thankyou

Pardon the dust.
It doesn’t look awesome and it’s not mounted, but it’s something like this.

I am using 2 corner traps, 2 absorbers hanging at the first reflection, and 2 hanging at the second reflection.

Your armchair looks fantastic.:+1::+1::+1::+1:

I’ve gotten back into guitar pretty heavily after putting it down almost completely for close to ten years for no apparent reason. Needed a solid amp for lower volume bedroom playing. Did a bunch of research and found out Hagerman makes a tiny little 0.5 watt amp. Missing my Tuba always, it was a no brainer. Showed up and the thing is so good!

I’m not sure that’s the optimal placement.

Did some small very necessary shopping

I bought these D2000 to modify to emu or lawton cups and turns out they are not compatible with those

Idk what im gonna do with these.
Still these are quite good for $170, also very aesthethical and comfy and with an upgraded material 3 meter furutech termination cable.

Next thing is what ya’ll like to see, excellent tube protection

I think my yamamoto tubes ended their life cycle (I heard a certain type of distorsion and just assumed the tubes needed replacement).
I really really hope these just work.

And finally I sold my cayin n7 because it was just a tad too big and I needed money, and then wanted a small upgrade from my kann alpha so I sold it and went for one of my dream daps.

Im a huge questyle fan, cant wait to hear

@MacDLaw Are those D2000’s an indigo blue, or is that lighting (or my eyes tricking me)? They look really nice!

I had a Denon AH-D5000 with Lawton chambers and pads. I regret selling it. I was silly sold it because I thought the cable was too long and wasn’t balance terminated. I was still very, very new into this audio trip then. I did not know what I had at the time. I’ll never find another piece that sounded like that one.

Its the lightning on the room tricking your eyes, bright lightbulbs often do that, is the classic black paint.

Yeah looking at the photo I can tell the source of regret easily

Something very very similar happened to me with my emu teaks because they were non detach and I couldnt fit the 3.5mm connectors I sold them as they were.

These d2000 I got were meant to be using

But they dont fit without a quite difficult mod according to Mark Lawton so Ill just wait till I get the th900ltd ive always wanted and use the lawtons occasionally with those

Still not sure what these d2000 destiny will be

I had some funds after selling most of my main chain so I picked something interesting.

What do you think about it so far?

Already put them for sale. Lol

Nice set but it doesn’t do it for me comparing to my A8000

Sorry to hear that but glad for your thoughts on that set. At that pricepoint you need to be fully engaged and satisfied.

So with vocal switch on it reminded me mega5 est with better resolution and detail better stage and a bit less dull treble.

It bass mode it was fun vshaped set hard hitting pretty engaging and sparkly treble but overall presentation lacked some.kind of coherence A8K does so well for me. Plus A8K does vocals a bit better for me.

The GM is on my list, but I’m trying to be sensible at the moment. I have two sets on order. Gotta wait and see what there about first.

Bought the Isotek V5 Sigmas on the bottom. The last piece (besides a few cables) that was left.

Nice! What made you go with Isotek over Audioquest or PS Audio or the other candidates? I’m getting a V5 Aquarius for demo tomorrow

My neighbor has a Niagara 5000 and said that it sounds constrained with his amps. I know some people who have had good results with PS audio but I’d want to get one of the huge ones and those are pretty expensive.

Overall the Isotek has pretty good reviews so I thought I’d try it.

Found a few things waiting for me when I got back from holiday. More pads for my HE-6 & 5LE. As well as my first DAP (well, since my iPod from back in the day). I have heard that this Onix DAP renders holographic images and an expansive sound stage, even on mid/lo-fi IEMs, such as, and specifically, with the SuperMix 4.

Didn’t take very long to post your Galion TS A20 for sale a day later :joy:

my stuff is always for sale. I want to rearrange my setup so needs have changed. That doesn’t really reflect how good or bad a product is though.

Currently the setup is the best i’ve heard my system out of all the iterations. I’m not afraid to say something sucks as much as i am to say something is good.
