What have you purchased recently?

I am not a believer in most tweaks, and am most skeptical of fuses. Yet if I don’t try, I don’t have a solid argument for my skepticism

At first I thought there was nothing in the foam, they pack it nicely for shipping.

They hold their value well in the used market if someone needs the exact rating.

Whenever you finally do come around, I’ll do a with and without demo for you in my system.

What my rig is not capable of hearing the difference

I’m not going to pass up on the local eats up by your place, will make it up your way once the clouds clear up!

I’ve been waiting SO long for this (backordered)…

Also my Wellfloat stuff came in as well. Waited even longer for that!

So shy with this pic….

There’s nothing to see. They’re all black (but nice) rectangles :joy:

Worth the wait? I like the three copper buss bars, in them. They look well built, is that one 6 outlets?

Don’t know haven’t listened to it yet. Yes, it’s 6 outlets. 3 filtered for digital, 3 filtered for analog.

Congrats! I’ve been looking at the Wellfloat stuff for awhile but haven’t figured out yet which to put it under. Looking forward to your thoughts.

Easy, all of them

They got my order wrong, so I ended up with two full size boards instead of one. Given the wait time, I think I’ll just buy it.

Which model are you aiming for? My dealer says the revopods and the Wellfloat boards (base model) are about equal.

Generally, I listen to headphones when at home but on the go I use an iPhone paired with a Qudelix 5K and in-ears, albeit mainly for when traveling but there have been occasions when I’ve thought that it be nice if the functions of phone and music source were separate devices. So, I picked this up as an introduction to DAP life to see if it suits me.

Some might say the black on black is boring - I say, So what…

Also, no secret here that I like me some good bass and I gravitate towards a warmer lush tonal signature so when I read this post here it was like dangling a carrot in front of me – so I got a set to try for myself.

My photography skills and camera not doing the faceplates any real justice and I might not have got the best looking set but the thing is, when I’m listening to them I can’t see them so it doesn’t really matter to me.

Didn’t you already have this box?

I take it this new Eno is still a tier lower?

I had the muon, which is its predecessor. This is the muon pro, which has several refinements including being up to 1Gb/s.
Yes the eno2 is considered lower on the ladder than the muon pro, but I’m waiting to hear direct A/B.

Picked this up on a good local deal. Interested to see how a vintage piece compares to my other dacs. Initial impression, things are very organic and there is a lot of weight to notes. Stand out is that there is not as much detail and separation between instruments but for the cost, nothing to complain about  It will likely end up in my speaker system but listening on headphones for now.

Sonic Frontiers SFD-2 SE

A side note if you’ve been following my AES challenges, this unit works perfectly fine with my snake river cable

Backert Labs Rhythm 1.3 and change. It’s clearly on a different level than the LTA, that said it’s twice the cost whether new or used pricing and it does how much the LTA pre punches above its weight.

On to the Rhythm though, it’s just MORE of everything that we want and well worth the time, effort and cost to acquire it. They don’t show up on the market often and I had to jump on this one.

Welcome to the Sonic Frontiers Club, yes the Boomslang AES and the Coax works without a hiccup on these vintage boxes. Let the sucker warm up for a few days, what tubes are you running inside?

how’d you know this is what you’re looking for as an upgrade? and did you go in blind hoping it matches the rest of your system or had some telling signs that it’ll work?

That looks really cool. :+1:t4:

Is that a Kimber Select speaker cable on top? Great stuff, and it sounds like it was a worthy upgrade. Enjoy.
