Watch out for that plastic headband piece. I’ve seen some break lately.
Maybe the ie600? Pretty small and from what I hear they’re comfortable.
Got this a week or so ago, but just finaly getting to listen.
Modhouse tungsten double sided
Honestly, its pretty extremely good. 2k flat and in the d8kp realm of detail (maybe even a hair higher) while having a bit more of a fun presentation than sus. Big stage, fantastic bass control, impact, and texture. Tactility uo there with d8kp but a bit less texture forward. Ive been told they are nearly impossible to run (150 ohm 73 dB/mW i believe) but if you can run them they are a very easy req. Ill be bringing tnem to socal if anyone want to try them there.
Strange… I own the Elex and Clear OG. I also own a Quicksilver and the OG is much better on that than the Elex at least to my ears.
VERY interested in these, and stoked to hear all the good feedback so far. What are you running them on?
I recently picked up a pair of JBL Stage 180s that im planning on using as mod test beds. Looking at cab damping and new crossover circuits first, we’ll see where we go from there ![]()
Ive only used them on aic so far
Looks good (so does the Eames molded plywood chair). ![]()
I’ve had two Mobius break at the yolk (Same side, same spot on the yolk).
Happy Friday! Seems like everyone is getting their new toys today ![]()
I love the Mamushi Signature RCA so much and my conversation with Jonny that I went ahead and bought brand new Snake River Audio Boomslang Digital AES hisssssssssss
. I am ex sneaker head and one of my favorite aspect is unboxing limited edition boxes. Man, does Snake River Audio know how to pack a package! I know everyone posted their unboxing so I know what’s coming, but seeing this in person makes me feel like a kid on Christmas Day! The box itself with the snake stickers are pretty cool. Unboxing it, I get a whiff of fresh scented candle. And of course, how can I forget about everyone favorite Idaho Spud!
I haven’t even tried the cable yet and I am already really excited. It’s going to be a good weekend!
Jonny really cool, I wouldn’t mind buying his products new.
I sooo love a good box opening session…i’m a whore for original packaging w/ some of my other older toys too
congratulations on the fresh new purchase!![]()
What on earth is an Idaho Spud if not a weirdly packed potato?
It’s what I imagine Idaho taste like, which probably still be a potato.
It is amazing!
Its like a light marshmallow fluff covered in coconut and chocolate.
When you have time please tell us more about these Modhouse Tungsten double sided HP’s please. I’m curious as to their performance since you mentioned both Susvara and DK8 in the same sentence as references and at 1/4 the cost the Modhouse seems too good to be true ![]()

I bit the bullet and purchased dBpoweramp. I wish I would have done this sooner. It is much more user friendly compared to Exact Audio Copy. The bad news is, I have 374 CDs I need to rip. ![]()
i bought mine just a few days ago. Worth it. It is 10 minutes to set up and away you go.
Only 1 complaint when trying to convert files (usually to flac) you cant right click and convert to. It gives a “cant open files” error. So i need to open the application and search from within. Such an odd thing but it works very well othnerwise.
It is not 1/4 the price of either of those just fyi… Tungsten in the version @Draaly is testing is $2000 and MSRPs for both Sus and D8K are far from real market prices
I’ve heard only good things from anyone who heard Tungsten Double Sided except that it’s hard to drive them. I look forward to trying one in a few weeks
Yeah, I use dBpoweramp for all my CD ripping and file conversions too. It works really well but I wish the UI was a bit more user friendly. Like you, I wish I could right click. I also wish I could save different settings as favorites, e.g. if I’m resampling one album (e.g. 24-192 to 24-96), and then converting another album from one format to another (e.g. ALAC to FLAC) and then resampling the next album, I have to set everything up from scratch every time. Or if there is a way to save these, it isn’t intuitive to me.
Chocolatey marshmallow goodness in the shape of a potato!
Have you seen this?
