Agree. The extreme low end and growl of a Thunderbird Bass is easily distinguishable and I always wanted one, but always worried about neck dive due to the counterweight. But like anything, it just means getting acclimated to playing a new style instrument.

I also have to save up for an amp and I have been eyeing a Mesa Boogie Big Block 750 and Cabinet. I’ve never owned a true cabinet rack amp and head as I have saved money buying combo amps in the past.

Finally a CFA3 on this forum. Will look forward to your impressions against the Rivera and Bakoon

I’ve always wanted to play on one of those, it sounds great.

@Hazi59 congratulations on the new bass, it looks fantastic.

Just make aure you can have it do what you want at a livable volume.

Even 25-35w guitar tube amps with a 1x12 i could barely go above mute or they would be house shaking and damaging loud. A good attenuator solves a lot of that.

This was always my issue with amps, my primary amp is a 2x10 25W, and it’s way too much.

Keeping it under 20w was ok, sub 15w great, 10w or lower and you can crank it. But the tubes and amp design never got you the same sound. It was better off to get an attenuator, but i let my playing go before i got there.

I try not to post until something lands but I was just saying earlier in another thread about how one of the headphone cables I wanted to try is from Norne Audio, a Vygarde (Silver & Copper Fusion) - well as luck would have it today there was one listed that suits my use case. So I bought it…

I will use it with both my Susvara and HE6seV2 and compare against the Forza Noir Hybrid.

Black and blue done right

Oh also, are they aired correctly to work with the Radiance as well. I think probably not matching polarities.

The differences if any between focal/hifiman polarity I am not sure of and would have to look up. As far as the Norne cable I just bought, it was done for an HE6se so is def Hifiman.

Now that you mention it I have a cable made for Focal that does not work in my hifiman for whatever reason but I have others that I have used between the two brands with no (realized) differences. Now I’m curious to find out if they wire do up differently.

Yeah thanks, I like it. I think that this cable maybe destined for the HE6se v2 at least if going by aesthetics only. It will go nicely with the blue in its cups. The guy I bought the cable from was using it on his HE6se so all design credit goes to him.

Probably a polarity thing. Sometimes the stereo and mono plugs sync up juuuuust right.

The eBay guy started the refund process after I shipped him back what he sent me. And in this lucky day I got the correct mutec for cheaper too

I know I know UwU. It’s been a crazy month. But it’s just felt like it made sense since I exclusively listen to digital. As all of my music is modern, digital.

Just grabbed a nice FM acoustics preamp and power amp setup to use with headphones, if it’s as good as I think it will be hopefully should let me consolidate things further
