I guess I haven’t been around here for a while. Life happens. I think I’m back in the hobby again though. I’ll post the things I forgot to a while back that I bought.
I bought some OG Nighthawks a while ago and never really got around to listening to them very much. I finally listened to them again today. Boom. Hooked. Nighthawks are so special. They made my music come alive again, I was hearing details I forgot were there. I don’t think I like them as much as the Carbon, which sound a bit more refined, but these are definitely a bit more weird and do Nighthawky things to the music in their presentation.
I also bought these a while back and never posted them. Picking them up again, yeah, I remember why I did not like them. Even with the thicker pads on to seal better and a new cable, they still are very boring and unimpressive. Thinner pads ripped when I tried to put them on. No fault of the seller, they tried offering lots of suggestions and help. It’s just a bad product imo. For anyone looking for closed-backs, do not buy these! I’m not going to pretend these are good and try to sell them back to someone. I just have to accept the loss and move on.
