Must be subwoofer week because my dual 15" HSU VTF-TN1’s arrived!
These things are monsters lol, but probably the smallest footprint (emphasis on footprint lol) ported 15" subs you can buy.
Also bought some spring isolation feet for putting the speakers on top of the subs (and removed some springs so they would compress a bit). Unfortunately I’ve only had enough time to put the subs in place and test if they work (which they definitely work, I’ll have to be careful with these things lol). For now I plan on running the speakers full range and having the subs fill in at around 40hz and below. I may also invest in a minidsp flex and umik2 just to correct the subs below my speakers -3db point and make the subs easily mutable for nighttime listening and switching to headphones (without having to get up and turn the subs off).
