Currently looking for new speakers, figured I might as well explore what’s out there more, not tired of the Harbeths but I think something more unique and a higher step up in a different direction is the right moves. I’ve just been listening to my Raidho a lot more, and honestly those speakers are higher tier than the Harbeth are (although they don’t match well with my AC gear). I’ve been looking to make the move to the new Borresen’s, but they just won’t work well with the source gear I have (t…

But basically it came down to 4 things I’d say:

1. I had already heard them at shows, was really impressed with the performance, and had another friend who really vouched for them as well, so I already knew it was a speaker that was up my alley

2. I had a dealer that was selling a used pair that I was informed of within reasonable distance, so it was something I could actually afford to consider lol (less than half value used), and this value here is also what pushed me toward it over a few other options I was considering where it would have been a fair bit more expensive for other options

3. It was a speaker that would have been able to be driven by my Aries Cerat gear I had at the time, and while not ideal, still would have been very solid pairing (and was a very solid pairing, but more on source later)

4. I liked the looks, and didn’t mind the name. I typically don’t care about any of that, but if something is hideous in both looks or name with how much I’d be paying for them, I better love every aspect lol, some speakers in this range are far too out there for me personally in the looks and name department

Did you have the preamp/amp before or after your purchase? Just curious about your ‘synergie’ decision, because I can only assume it is quite difficult to get 100k speakers, without having a complete chain in mind and replace it many times to find the right synergy… know a friend who have spent quite a lot in this range

So I got really lucky here, because the initial show demo of these speakers was on LAMM gear in the past, and that’s the one that really blew me away and put verity in my head as an option (although it was a biamped setup of lamm gear lol). The Verity + LAMM pairing was apparently a known good pairing (only learned that recently though), so it was also something that stuck in my head. The reason why the dealer actually had the verity was because a guy had sold off his entire system to him, which he powered the speakers with LAMM. So the dealer already had the entire chain as an option. I didn’t initially plan to get the LAMM, but he let me demo them, and by then it was too late lol

If I didn’t already know a good higher end pairing, I bet I would also have been spending a lot of money and time to get that pairing perfect lol, I just really lucked out here in this case
