It’s the whole customers will give you a lot of leeway if you keep them informed thing, proactive communication will buy you a lot of patience and understanding, always stunned me that DHC, Norne etc, can’t get that right.
Which is always shocking since I’m of the opposite design, under promise and over deliver. It’s a niche market and a dissatisfied customer will cause a lot more impact to the reputation. I’d also wager that they at most have a dozen orders in at any given point given the end of the market they serve, so two emails a day would keep every customer updated.
It’s baffling.
About the only thing I noticed is on the rear, if your inputs are lined up east/west why have the input switch north/south. It definitely has bling!
Thanks a lot. He will never be able to unsee that now. lol
well luckily it is on the rear LOL.
It’s interesting he de-robed the C3G’s, I’ve seen other manufacturers do the same, that would be a pain to do yourself if you replaced them.
Only other thing I notice is there is some variation in the wood color on the sides, and there is no bling on top of the power supply transformer covers.
What’s the switch on the top of the main chassis for?
it’s to switch between XLR and 1/4 output it looks like.
That fabulous woke pride month ground cable! How can anyone miss it? Make me want to dance just looking at it! lol
Makes sense, but I guess I’d never even considered doing that.
The Transformer cover on the back of the power supply isn’t the same as the others.
You know what. I didnt even notice that. I think because the wording fits horizontally but amp design is probably better the way it is.
Damn, you guys making me feel self conscious now. I was just referring to the rectifier tube vs what is stated on the top plate.
Ill ask what that circle is, but ive seen it on other amps.
In all honesty, I was like that doesn’t look like a GZ34… But what do I know, maybe it’s one I’ve not yet seen. Lol
Its funny as in the original siec he said only 2 tubes types for recti, but he us testing with a 5u4g saying it has the most sag. I am guessing if it can test well with that then less worry for other rectis.
Yep, since this isnt for long distance telecoms im sure the extra shielding isn’t needed. We talked a lot about loving the look of the tube glow mirrored in the polished metal tops, that always hit me as an ultra luxury look. Thought i do think the black metal caps would look good on the amp too. Whatever spares i grab will retain the metal shell.
Those back posts are numbered btw…
Bwahhhahahaha, you should know better than to ask a bunch of audiophiles to look over pictures with a magnifying glass
