Stands, Storage, Organization

So what are you guys using as stands, storage cabinets, and ways to organize? We all know making things look neat and pretty makes it sound 2x better.

I have seen a lot of cool stands from headphones to speaker cables, and I crave that mid century modern look for media consoles.

Lets see what you got!

I primarily use Monolith/Monoprice and VTI for both of my stands and racks. I am about to get another add-on stand for my monoblocks from VTI too.

With that being said, I’d love to get Butcher Block Acoustics though!

I used whatever was near me, but the collection kept growing. Then I got this to hold everything. Hardware on top, little stuff in the drawer and headphones in the cabinet:

A few weeks ago I realized I had too much stuff and picked this up:

Now, I have one on each side of the lazy boy and life is good.

Both of those have real nice wood figuring.

This thing is half of a credenza that I’ve had since college.

The main storage thing i use is a nice tower furniture that i found at Ross. Those dudes always have sick furniture, its beautiful altho i would like if it was a bit more easy to clean my stuff. I’m actually gonna move some stuff around tomorrow and clean all my gear.

Went with Butcher Block Acoustics for my Parasound stack and mini PC. #matching

Freaking baller. Was the pricing reasonable?

I can’t remember what I paid. They have prices on their site though. I don’t think they took their time when drilling and installing the threaded inserts as they aren’t perfectly perpendicular. Not that noticeable though. No complaints with the wood work.

That whole setup just has a good vibe! I’m so tempted to go the open chassis PC route like that, it’s sexy and the matching base just ties it all together.

Found out these cheap little end tables from Ikea make decent speaker stands (the tops even swivel to adjust angle easily). I’ll get some proper ones eventually but this is working well for the moment.

I love that you left the mini Pc uncased

I was about to ask about racks and I forgot this thread existed, so I guess I’m bumping it for myself, lol.

My main setup is slowly taking over my work desk and I’ve been starting to look into putting some kind of rack alongside my desk instead (available space is about 23" x 23" footprint). No idea what I’d really be looking for though, so if someone has something that they like in this vein, I’d love to hear about it, but if not, no big deal.

A standard rack will fit in that space they’re roughly 20 inches wide, about 17.5 between the posts which means all standard sized components fit.
I use one of these

With these shelves

If you want more attractive options, there are a number of vendors on Etsy that sell racks with wooden frames

Anyone used this company?

I like the idea of the Dakota with custom shelf spacing.

Work is getting rid of some production and IT racks. I dont have space and i dont know if i can transport them even but there are some nice glass front half racks with wheels that would look half decent in any setup.

How do yall store your cables/interconnects? I’m a massive cable hoarder and tbh I kinda just shive em all in a box. Any reqs?

I also tend to roll them, zip/twist tie, and stick in a storage bin
