Gotta use appropriate lengths where possible and matched sets too so unfortunately we get a mix of price classes.

I had to rearrange things after the Violectric v281 LE arrived, i ended up replacing the OOR + HYPSOS stack with this beast of an amp but its shape was not easy to accomodate.
Still a work in progress but things look reasonably organized now.
Any ideas on how to make this neatier?

Well, you could send those headphones on your deskmat to me to get them out of the way! Free up some space that way.

Looking good, your V281 tucked in nicely. :+1:

Looks awesome!

Here are some ideas I had for you “any ideas” request

I’m not sure how much you use the two laptops on the sides, but I’d remove those if not necessary to make more horizontal space and separate the speakers a but more.

You could also get a arm for the screen and do away with the stand underneath. I’d maybe move the DAC to the left and put the amps next to each other on the right or whatever hand you naturally use on the volume knob.

Last I’d probably let as many cables as possible drop behind the desk. I think the more desktop you can see, the nicer and more spacious it will feel.

edit: if you have the keep the laptops, maybe they can be offset or even go under the desk with a KVM switch to your main KB/Monitor

Since I just sold my eddie current, I had to figure out a temp setup until I get a replacement in house.

LPGT in USB dac mode via roon w/ HD6xx doing some work.

This should do nicely for the next week while I decide on what I want to do

what’s your impressions of the Soulnote A-2? I’ve had that integrated on my radar lately

Are you using Lotoo’s own usb cable or a third party cable to use LPGT as a USB DAC?

Just a random usb-c cable I had lying around, actually I think it is the cable for my xbox elite series II controller… lol

Thanks!

I’ve been trying some usb c cables with LPGT and so far it recognizes only its own proprietary cable unfortunately. Contacted MusicTeck and they seem to echo the same sentiment that LPGT will not work with third party cables :frowning:

Any idea on what I might be doing wrong here?

This is what I use on mine and it has taken any cable I’ve used with it, it’s a usb to c converter

That is sorta crazy because it just worked without any issues with this cable, I didn’t even know there was a connection issue with third party cables… it might be worth mentioning that I’m not going directly into my pc’s motherboard but instead into an anker powered usb hub

Thanks for clarifying! I’m going to try this out as well and see if I can get the LPGT to work with any other cables!

That’s awesome to hear and give me some hope! Have you noticed any increase in sound quality using better usb cables? Any recommendations for usb cables for the LPGT?

Thanks!

I have not experimented but have been tempted by this

I wanted to play around with my new A/B/C switch and make sure it performs 100% using all 3 inputs and outputs so I spent the early morning moving things around in my living room listening space.

FRONT END: Innuos Phoenix Net switch > Innuos Pulse Streamer > Berkeley Alpha Reference DAC >
System A: DAC > Vinnie Rossi L2iSE (PX25’s)
System B: VR as pre-amp > Alan Eaton monoblocks (45’s)
System C: DAC > Line Magnetic 216i (KT88’s)

I’m finally admitting that it’s simply not about the music for me but more the equipment itself and what combinations I can put together that sometimes give me joy. I really love finding combinations that have synergy or perform exceptionally well w/ certain genre’s. Not every combo sounds great, while others I find genuinely exceptional , it simply always starts with the gear and i crave more and more combinations to try.

Hi hifi/audio fellows!

Here in Germany i’ve revised my community show setup page. It was all born out to have exchange with other enthusiasts and to have listening sessions in real environments.

It is very simple and intuitive. If someone interested, go to register and try it out and report problems (not sure how geo lookup handles foreign address)…Also allow 2 images per setup…onced your are logged in, you can add your setup and under upload adding 2 images.

Be aware: i am not using street, only your city district, therefore never exposing exact address!

My community contribution, no commercials in use at all!
P.s.: just added google translate so based on your browser text should be properly translated.
