It’s really nice to get a solid separate network setup where you can really control what goes on in your home network, having separate routers, gateways, switches, and access points and other random stuff inbetween (like controllers for those access points and so on), great for security and flexibility

I’ve now got a separate controlled “appliance” network for the Nest thermostat and doggie cams. Restricted traffic and MAC addresses. My wife demanded the doggie cams so I had to give in.

I’m attempting to make a chart myself and yeah… definitely looking like a first grader here as well. lol.

I’m too lazy but I wanted to have the actual graphic of the equipment. All visual, there’s not that much actual technical content in mine, not like @elementze

I did my chart for me to be able to make sense of what I’ve done and where I’m going, easier to visualize things but it’s really a private thing, I’m glad we’re sharing because there’s no one way to skin a cat, especially when you’re doing something as personal as an architecture map and where we’re trying to combine both audio and network aspects of the design.

This descriptor is applicable for me in general…

However, I do enjoy seeing what everyone is doing and I appreciate their sharing.

Here’s my rudimentary chart…

desktop setup is mostly youtube, movies and tv shows. I do listen to music sometimes on this setup, but I would rather be listening to the 2ch. However, now that I have an extra pi4, I might do the items in red.

Definitely plenty of opportunities to improve on.

She is right though

Too lazy to add the new optical networking stuff and it’s uninspiring.

Yeah, I picked it up off some shady seller on the forum

I have a Danacalbe Lazuli Reference cable for it coming in the mail this week, should be really sweet! (If not, I’ll have a nice cable to list for sale… )

I guess today is diagram day lol, I realized a top-down diagram doesn’t show as well as left to right on a forum post after I made it, but I’m too lazy to reorganize everything so this is what y’all get lol.

I’ll probably redo this in the future once I make some more changes to my system.

Works better on mobile!

In the middle of redoing my power cabling so that is currently not shown. A few changes since last time but getting very close to a long term setup. I want to get or make a decent phono preamp and I am thinking about a speaker amp build.

Currently enjoying this modest little setup.

Luxury & Precision W2 ACG Edition, Focal Radiance with Eletech Dante Series Inferno, iPhone using Apple Music.

Thanks!

Had to use an actual camera since my phone is the music source.

How is the inferno cable? I remember it was mention in 1 of the thread and I was a little interested in getting that cable as well.

I’m really digging it.

Sonically it’s very transparent/neutral, IMO. To my ears it’s not really changing the sound of the Radiance, just passing through more of the signal (it’s very thick). It does sound fuller than the stock cable, but I think that’s just because it’s more transparent to the source.

It’s very pretty too, but the one niggle I have is that it is slightly microphonic. It’s not terrible, but I think it’s more noticeable because the Radiance does a good job of sealing out noise.

I’m picking up some adapters this weekend so I’ll be able to try it on more sources.
