Rofl. Bought this pos ignoring cosmetics cause it was gunna be a track car. Then the tracks closed right as I finished converting it to spec miata spec and the season got cancled…
Now its basically back to how I bought it and I’ve sold the spec kit. Just doing some final miles to clear all the codes so I can smog and sell it

Spec Miata is super competetive. Are you near Buttonwillow? I knew some P car guys there and I’m pretty sure they also do a lot of spec Miata. Looked like a fun track.
yes I am. And yes it is hyper hyper competitive. Im not realisticaly competetive within the series as a whole if I’m honest, it was just the most accessible wheel to wheel I could figure out how to do without owning a trailer. Ultimately though covid opened my eyes to sim racing and while its not the same its damn close for like 0 continued costs.

Even spec miata makes audio look cheap man. I figured my minimum budget for my first season would be 20k+ even if nothing ever broke. Just consumables, travel, and fees. What I had set aside for a single season was 50% the cost of my cars all together and I had 6 solid ones at the time

It’s nice to have the GH50 back and in good health. I really missed those things. I’d say they are still my main audio system but now that I’m in this space the speakers are starting to get almost an equal amount of listening time. Once I get a proper speaker amp (and a door. lol) speakers might end up being 50/50.
Also I should note because it’s funny. BF2 + RNHP both courtesy of @Littledrummerboy and GH50 courtesy of @j.fopps. Gotta love this community.

Due to some technical failures and retirement of some gear my lump of a chain has slimmed down… momentarily.
Not in picture: MLP (Red light of Death, waiting on a warranty), IEMagni, Loki, Liquid Spark (Retirement, this might change.), and E30 (Retirement).
Gumby: “My Sweet Lord” This… oh-ho-ho this. I’ve put off writing up anything on this particular piece because i feel i don’t have anything that is really telling of it’s capabilities. Nothing to fully let it stretch it’s legs and get comfy, until then it is currently flying in coach.
Sys: What’s to say? Good button.
Archel: Y’know, i give this thing a hard time. I’m not that sold on it but it does what i ask of it… I’m just not wow’d i guess. Clear, somewhat clinical sounding, and with a kiss of warmth.
Zen Dac V2: This is my guilty pleasure at the moment… do i use it as portable dac from time to time? maybe. Does it work with anything i plug it into? Disturbingly so. Is it powerful? well, its a dac so… no. It does manage to hold it’s own in some cases but obviously doesn’t hold a candle (match stick) to it’s sister in the stack. Good fun tho!

The Schiit Europe store https://www.schiit-europe.com/ is a shell of what is available in the US, they could replace all the pages with the text ‘out of stock’ and no one would notice

I think everything is out of stock lol. They don’t get sent any, it’s a licensed reseller so they are completely reliant on Schiit having stock to send them, which with the current tech component shortages…

It’s the same with Schiit’s UK distributor, and when asked why it is always out of stock Jason on the Head-Fi thread said that he had no control over how many units the distributor chose to order from them
So it sounds like the EU/UK distributor is saying they can’t get stock from Schiit US, and Schiit US is saying that the distributors won’t order from them, lol
