You might get better driver alignment if you flip them upside down. I’m just going by the sofa in front and where I think your ears would be. If the wide angle lens is doing something weird with the “height” then forget I said anything.

Those Q100 were a fantastic value when they were nearing end of life… I think I picked mine up for under $300 bucks and they image so well! I used them in nearfield as well.

Thanks, I’ll try that out. they’re up on tall stands since I had them at the centre of my screen for surround sound

The couch is too close right now since I need to move other stuff back in order to move it for a proper listening position, I currently have the best listening position further back into the room nearer my desk setups

We all like to show images of our set up when things are done and looking beautiful, the idyllic. But it’s a shit ton of work to get there, especially when you’ve got a vision and there are a lot of moving parts and you wind up two steps forward, one step back… and so it goes for what seems like forever.

Thankfully the end is in sight for me, despite it not looking as such at the moment. I am making progress.

Nice progress! You might have to move those panels though depending on where your speakers first reflections will be when you position the speakers.

That’s a lovely space you’re putting together there.

The wide angle lens warps things a bit but I did spend time measuring and using a mirror for first reflections when I still had the Zu speakers since they’re about the same dimensions as the Omegas. The bass traps are on the stands Gik sells, so they’ll have some flexibility in placement when I’m ready. So I think I’m pretty much in the ballpark.

The bass trap/refracting panels in the back of the room (not in the pic) are final since I don’t have any flexibility where I can mount those. I still have a ceiling panel to put up. But again with that one, don’t have much flexibility, just shooting for best practice in the theoretical.

I’m much happier with the sound of things now even without music. I clap yell, whistle and things sound as they should. I had a HORRIBLE delays before so the panels are doing their job.

Love it, night and day difference from when you first moved in, GREAT use of the space, looks inviting and hopefully comfortable soon!
Your choice of colors really brightens the space up and helps open up the space!

Damn bro. Looking great. Meanwhile my mid transition setup is looking like what the back panel of my PC is hiding

In the middle of rewiring my sim rig and computer and its a hassle and a half to get all this shit organized…

It take a hell of a lot of motivation to tackle shit like that. But eventually you’ll get around to it and you’ll feel really good about it.

I woke up nice and early to get the rest of my weekend chores done today so that I can focus on doing nothing by wiring tomorrow. Its definitely not a no Adderall weekend tomorrow…

idk if you’ve tried this or if it’s even worth trying, but have you tried driving the liquid gold using the line-outs on your Eddie current? So it’d go something like Amber 3 > Eddie Current Studio B > Liquid Gold? kinda using your Eddie Current as a pre-amp but without the volume control because it only has line-outs. Like there may be a chance that the Studio B distorts the Liquid Gold if it pushes too much power to it via the RCAs, but I feel like that could be a fun combo to try with your Susvaras. Just curious, you can also just ignore this idea completely lol.

For a second there I thought you were suggesting running the headphones directly out of the line out, like RCA cable to headphone directly lol. On that note might as well try speaker taps directly to headphones there for the susvara, might be interesting (but you’ll need a special cable for that)

@Towa the EC adds something extra nice when i use it as a pre-amp. Good idea to at least give it a listen.

Actually if he doesnt give it a listen by weeks end he needs to give the amp to the next SA member in line. I dont write the rules.

Yeah ive not tried the Studio B as a pre-amp yet, i might try it next time i redo my rack and desk. Unfortunately even if it does sound pretty good I’d most likely opt to not run it in that configuration as that would require the EC to be turned on to use the LAu… part of the reason i have a solid state amp to begin with is to avoid burning through those pricey 300B tubes

When I get my dac upgrade later this year, it will most likely have balanced outs and that would free up the SE inputs on the LAu, so then i could run this configuration whenever I feel like it while still using the amp via bal without the EC for other usecases… if that makes sense

Yeah, that makes perfect sense, that way you could even A/B the two configs. Well, whatever the case, when you do end up trying that config I’d love to hear what you think.

I have been rearranging my two channel set up since we’ve been listening to more music together. My desk space is actually in our general living area so this is not that far from there - hence the headphones also being in the picture.

I moved my volumio pi over to this stack to reduce the number of cable runs going back and forth. A coax runs from here over to the desk. The pi is second from top in a new housing that I think fits in really well.

My Gustard H16 is here now as preamp since it has a remote control and acutally pairs nicely with the Emotive A-100. At some point I will replace the turntable for one that is both better quality and that has a lid. The printer dust cover is not the nicest covering but there is very little choice to be found. The speakers are still on my desk to the right of this picture. Not ideal but partner is not that interested in us having dedicated room speakers.

I also bought new vinyl organisers to make my albums easier to access and more safely stored.

Lots of changes to my setup. New office! Moved the RP600Ms to my desk. BF2 and RNHP in place. GH50s safely back from Russia! Now it’s finally all together. Speaker amp is missing piece to the puzzle. Plan to replace the old AVR this year to “complete” this setup.

I plan to put up a door, hang a TV on one of the walls, and bring in a game system at some point as well. Then it will really be my oasis.
