Working on an audio testing playlist. these are usually the first dozen or so songs I listen to with any new headphone I try. Each song has something specific I try to listen to, but most selections are just out of preference lol

Tchaikovsky tonightâŠsymphony 5. Jurowski/London. Really good recording and this last movement is great.
One of the first symphony albums I had as a child. Later got to play it several times (Timpani.) I look back on those days as a privilege!
Itâs come to my attention that Marillion had almost no US presence.
If you are into 80âs prog, all the albums from that period are well worth listening to.
The early stuff always has something of a Pink Floyd vibe to me.
Everything from Seasons End on has different Vibe since they changed Lead Singers, and Fish had a very specific writing style. But itâs all still very good.
I love the layering of sounds in this song. Itâs fairly simple, but well executed, IMO.
The first 2 Marillion albums are two of my all time favorite albums, but I grew up in 80s England so they were a part of my musical education. Script For A Jesters Tear probably edges out Fugazi as my favorite, although the playing on the latter is a bit better IMO.
They sound a little more Peter Gabriel era Genesis than Pink Floyd to me.
Lyrics remind me of Roger waters writing.
The sound is very Peter Gabriel Genesis.
Itâs a band I only really listened to on other peoples systems when it was released, recently rediscovered it, the 2017/20/21 remasters are really good.
Just learned about Polyphia today, kinda cool music.
