Before I go commiting a faux pas, how would I go about asking for suggestions and person opinions on potential amp/DAC pairings for my potential headphone upgrade? Most threads here seem to be locked towards a singular brand and their products, or even just to one or two products themselves with a few random threads here and there. Would I be able to go to the headphones or sources categories and make a new thread for the question like I would on HFG or should I stick to asking in the threads about those headphones and sources about the opinions on them.
tl;dr: should I make a single, new thread in a category to ask about my potential upgrade path (including headphones and sources) or should I make multiple posts in the dedicated threads for the headphones and sources I’m looking at to ask about their potential pairings I’m pondering?
ETA: I know this isn’t where I should ask this, but… it’s the closest thing to a newbie channel I could find, haha.

If you haven’t already, invest some time into reading as much of the Shit List as possible. Or at the very least read through the entire Ramblings and Random Experiences section of the Shit List. You’ll come out the other end much better able to formulate and ask the right next level questions and see where you currently are in your own journey.
That section is the best content in the whole forum towards getting you going.
