Hello,
Do the Lampazitor Dac actually have an international switchable power switch from 110/230 volt?
Or are they fixed voltage?
I am mainly asking for the Amber models 3 & 4.

What’s your question? I had Amber 3 and moved up to Baltic 3. B3 has more space between instruments, deeper stage and takes well to rolling the tubes. I’m happy w/ the choice it works well in my application and adds to the sense of music playing out of thin air as opposed to coming direct from my speakers which is characteristic i crave.
I know the Amber 3 did, switchable from the exterior.
sorry, yes my question was in comparison with diferent models
Thx!
Thanky you,.
This is helpful,
Hey, I have also upgraded from an Amber 3 to a model several tiers above. Yes, of course you will get more detail, separation, and refinement. The noticeable upgrade you will hear is the presentation and how realistic it sounds. The Amber 3 has impressive tall and wide sound and the position is accurate. On the other hand, the upgrade wraps around more and creates more of a stage that you can imagine. The imaging is much more pin-point and there is more sense of space between each voice/instrument.
This. Cant get enough of that.
Since i havent seen much of the new amber 4. Definitely a new type of look from lampi. It looks very mid 2000s dvd player and home theater.
Aww, no glowy button.
On a side note, I’m pretty pumped to switch back to my white probably tomorrow. I felt like it wasn’t so hard hearing the differences between the spring and the amber BUT I didn’t realize it would take me quite a long time to acclimate back to the spring (~5 days). It was quite difficult and even uncomfortable at times. lol
Anyway, the amber is quite the charmer. I don’t think I love it as much as some people here, but I really like it. I think I prefer a more micro-focused or a more well-balanced presentation. But that being said, the amber is one of the very few pieces of gear to actually make me want to listen to more music. So, that’s a win!
Now to finish this spring article…
It’s on the bottom the same as the pacific, you can see the reflection in the pictures
Same display as on the pacific as well.
Agreed!! The LampizatOr power button is iconic!
They’re selling the dream, so they’ve made it a bit Pacificish, can’t blame them.
Jusr curious … Has anyone had the Amber 4 for a month or so? Looking for impressions.
Ive been staring at the one on audiogon for a month
…was tempted to get one… Komis-5 - 9.jpg | PRE-OWNED (lampizatorpoland.com) … but than I thought about “tube-rolling” and I stopped my monkey-wheel…
Hello,
I am looking at something to sell if it goes well if it goes well I would have a little bit together for a used Amber 3.
I have also found one in Europe that is an exhibition piece, but unfortunately it is a bit low on connections, but almost half the price.
It has USB, COAX and AES but only one output, I would prefer 2 because I have 2 amplifiers and don’t have to plug and unplug the cable all the time.
I have also read that Lampizator offers a used service free of charge and transfers it to the new owner.
I would have to ask if it is possible to retrofit.
Apart from that, is there anything else to look out for when buying used?
I have seen that there are different generations, is that right?
Which one should I choose and which would be the better one?
Although I haven’t heard of the Spring 3 and could probably have a new one, I would prefer a used Amber 3 if all goes well.
And also send it to Poland to check if it is free before using it.
Lamp poland has some amber 3s for 2.5k eur. Also, if you are in the US, im fairly sure there is an amber 4 demo unit for sale at 3.4k
Hello,
Yes I just saw it after I wrote. Thanks for the tip.
That would make it a bit easier to buy directly from them.
Also have my eye on an Amber3 which looks very nice.
I have also seen an Antlantic which is not bad.
Fingers crossed that someone buys my scooter on Monday .
Has anyone compared Aqua LaScala with Baltic 3? I believe the La Scala is a type of tube dac.
I know @M0N was not a fan of the Aqua’s above the LaVoce S3, and I know the guy I bought my S3 off decided to go in a completely different direction because he didn’t like the LaScala vs the LaVoce S3.
But I’ve not personally heard it, while I’m sure it’s probably better technically, my understanding is it lacks some of the incisiveness of the LaVoce.
Assuming your in the US, the La Scala ought to be a relatively easy DAC to audition at a local dealer in the US.
