oh yes Fujii Kaze is a damn joy to listen to, such a remarkable talent and his vibes are so upbeat and pleasant. Thanks for posting, I didn’t know about this tiny desk concert
Reita (Ba.) from the GazettE passed away today . I had a brief period where I got into them, but this news really shaking up the community right now. R.I.P
Aaarrrrggggg, she is so damn cute and this is so damn cool, she is the best lol
Watching this compilation makes me relive the entire concert experience. The whole experience from stressed out on buying tickets, to flying to another state and trying Wisconsin local honey brewery, to driving to Chicago and I’m telling everyone in the car the lore of why Ado is so awesome, to lining up with kindred spirits getting pump listening to Ado live, to seeing/hearing Ado actually on stage and performing, then running to McDonald at a rainy night of Chicago to take shelter after the concert.
Also looking at all the fans Ado got around the world just makes me happy happy for some reason. Maybe because it’s nice to see there are other Ado fans around the world no matter where we are at.
Listening to Ado songs right now just hit so differently. One of the most memorable moment in the concert was Ado talking about how she likes Chicago Pizza. She just said, “I ate pizza” and everyone in the venue screamed. After the scream, we all just chant, “Pizza, Pizza, Pizza” for 2-3 minute while Ado was on stage just laughing and confused why we all got excited when she said the word pizza. Ado don’t know, but Chicago pizza is chef kisses and her liking Chicago pizza is hype. Also, liking pizza is probably one of the most American thing you can do and that makes Ado an honorary American in my eyes. Man, that was such a great time…
Anyway, Ado release a playlist earlier in the month of the songs she sang in the World Tour (there is more, but I guess some of her cover songs isn’t on Spotify):
Website link to multiple sources of Ado Playlist:
Spotify Playlist:
The Spotify playlist got Ado saying thank you to multiple countries. She tried to say thank you in their language which was pretty cool.
Ado is releasing her 2nd Original Album Zanmu on July 10th.
You can also preorder it in her official website and it looks like her music shop is going global as international shipping is included.
Ado Website to Preorder Zanmu:
Someone in Reddit posted her song list of the album that we know so far from the teaser and of course they will be new unreleased songs included in the album. Oh man, this album is already lookin super hot already
July can’t come soon enough!
This show has been hitting me differently where I can’t help but cry and root for them every week . It also helps they got my girl Rie Takahashi voices one of the main girls. I’ve been really into their insert songs lately (probably because I really like the anime). I hope they make enough insert songs to make a LP before the season is over because I would love to hear them for the rest of the year
All the different ED songs so far:
Opening is a banger too:
A friend of mien just reccommended a beautiful song. Idk where they come from, the production and talents sound real good
It feels so good to be able to listen to music again after nearly 4 weeks, it’s like discovering my system all over again

Been catching up on some albums from last year and accidentally stumbled upon what might be the best Jpop album of 2023… seriously this shit is lit. This is why I still constantly check out new groups, for hidden gems like this.
I only found out after the fact that this is actually Daoko’s new project that she is working on separately from her solo activities. I thought she sounded familiar

Well damn… that’s two for two on the blind album run tonight This is the debut EP from a little known female fronted indie band out of Tokyo that started activities in late 2019. Really chill sound, plays a sort of smooth soul ballad esque music. I just kind of lucked into this one on a whim but very much up my alley, need to get the rest of their stuff now.
More Daoko is always a good thing. She recently released an album yesterday “Slash & Burn”
I haven’t listened to it yet, but I will on the weekend.
Her song last year that I really like was “Allure Of The Dark”.
She also did a song Nanairo Colorful last year, but I didn’t like it as much.
As much as I like 2023 music for Jmusic, 2024 has hit the ground running for music for me in both Jmusic and Western Music. It’s only been Quarter 1, but I been really happy with music releases so far from both side of the world.
Sheena Ringo is releasing a new album this week on May 29th called “Hōjōya” and the features are looking really good on it.
She release one of the songs already on her YouTube and it’s really nice. Looking forward on how the rest of the album will sound!
The Sun & Moon (TYO album ver.) - Sheena Ringo & Hikaru Utada
My queen Ado have dropped another song today that is going to be in her upcoming album! The song is called “Mirror” and it’s a banger
The bass notes while listening to this on the Onkyo A800 got me dancing. I wish I can use my speakers for this, but I still got to wait 1 more week for my new power amp . Its ok, imma put this on repeat all day while using the Onkyo A800 and enjoy the rest of my day

Added the Spotify link this that’s out right now as well:
Yo ! Did you buy that or is it just a pic?
Just a pic. But I was looking into the latest Fumo in Amiami. I kind of want that.
Man there was a lot of good Japanese album that was release last month from May to June like from Daoko, Miwa, ClariS, Lozareena, Ringo Sheena, and many more…
Of course I got to shout out this album from SennaRin with the legendary Hiroyuki Sawano as the composer.
Qobuz Link to the album “Adrena” by SennaRin:
Why am I shouting out this album besides Hiroyuki Sawano music being really awesome and SennaRin vocals being a perfect match for his music? Because I just found my new favorite song of the year and maybe one of my favorite songs to experience on my Mon Acoustic Platimon speakers…
My new current favorite song for 2024 is Melt-O - SennaRin.
I first listen to this song on the Midgard and I thought the Midgard is a really nice equipment because of it.
Then I listened to this song on my Allnic HPA-5000XL setup with more expensive cables like the DHC molecule headphone cable and the Allnic MU-7R XLR interconnect. I was like “Holy shit, thats really good!”
Fast forward to today, I move my Allnic cable back to the speaker setup and got ready. I relistened to a couple album I really enjoyed from last month like specifically Daoko new album and Ringo Sheena new album. Then I got to SennaRin album. Really good as expected, but then I got to the song “Melt-O”.
The reverb on her vocals…
The spaciousness of each instrument of everything just sounding bigger with her vocals in the middle while not drowning it out. Her vocals still somehow still being the main spotlight of the song throughout most of the song…
The fantastic dynamics this song display on both vocals and instrument…
Let me tell you my favorite part is at 3:20 - 4:49.
With the start of that part at 3:20 with the instruments fading back to silence and SennaRin broken the silence with her vocals and piano starts playing again. And then at 3:48 is when things gets insane. That’s when the music explodes and the entire soundstage becomes filled with music. When we are talking about a 2 channel entire soundstage becoming filled in music, it’s a pretty magical experiences. It’s because with my particular speaker setup, the soundstage is just really really deep and the the width of the soundstage is pretty impressive to me for a small room. So my body being in the middle of it, just being wrap around the music making me feel really immersed in it. The best part of there is no longer a main spotlight during this part. Every part of the music is the main star and each of them are shining brilliantly.
Songs like “Melt-O” by SennaRin make me feel so lucky that I have the Platimon speaker and makes me really love my speaker system .
Anyway, in just wanted to give shoutout to the song Melt-O, that song is really awesome.
Qobuz Song Link:
Melt is a regular favorite of mine, although I admit that melt-o is my #3 favorite of the 3 different live versions I’ve heard. I’m not a big fan of the added effects, but that’s just me.
My #1 is still the ‘with ensemble’ version. I think the majority of instruments being stringed instruments adds a touch of delicacy to the song and complements her voice really well. And it’s a very natural rendition without any added effects.
#2 goes to sawano’s live performance concert titled 007. It’s done with a traditional band but boy it was a great way to end the performance. Her voice absolutely shined and you can feel the emotion seeping out.
