Could move those stand mounts to side/rear duty :eyes:

Not necessary, since I am using separate dedicated amplifiers to power my HT speakers. These are built with greater efficiency in mind to play well w/ an AVR or separates. They donā€™t have the full extension the proper towers have (knowing they will be mated with subs) and since I use subs in line w/ my HT set-up the Stand Mount models already play close enough to the specs of these new towers that Iā€™m fine w/ my choice.

I have also tested out what I need out of my rear fill speakers multiple times over. I know exactly what they need to be capable of reproducing. I match them based on performance not based on a cosmetic factor and I am thus able to get away w/ using very inexpensive speakers with complete satisfaction. My fill speakers can be, but I purposely choose not to match them based on manufacturerā€¦(this allows me to spend my hard earned dollars in areas I value more)

If I had the money and desire to throw at an all BMR HT i absolutely would do so, I believe in the products and absolutely adore the Sound character! :pinched_fingers:

Lotooā€™s new flagship will be released soon!

Is this going to be a competitor to the Sony DMP-Z1 or aim even higher?

Thatā€™s looks pretty sweet.

They had me at ā€œdeep sub bassā€

Interestingā€¦

Definitely ordering one as soon as itā€™s available. Iā€™ve been meaning to buy a 6 series Sennheiser for a while now

That naming scheme is bad. Bet itā€™s replacing the og pricing for the 660s, so ~$500 is my guess. Any other bets?

Too bad theyā€™re not saturating the hi-end side of things as much, they probably donā€™t need to but it would be nice

Itā€™s is basically a 300 Ohm 660S, BHC/SB happy.

The 300ohms is nice. That makes me feel a little better about this model.

The 660, 58X is a great can if youā€™re feeding it from a mobile phone with a dongle and that was the best reason for its existence.

Yeah, I personally just didnā€™t see the point with them. I thought the 58X had some grain and the 660S just didnā€™t scale like my 650 and 580. Hopefully the 660S2 (Dumb name imo ) will scale, bring their clarity, imaging, and bass with them but have the 650 magic. Time will tell.

How do you one-up a line of legends?
Some of the most neutral headphones in the world are a tough act to follow. As far back as the HD 580, high-end Sennheiser headphones have inspired generations with their
balanced, natural reproduction. Recognized as benchmarks for neutral audiophile sound, the HD 600, HD650, and HD 660S all share visible and audible DNA with the HD 66052. The revised coil of the S2, for instance, now matches the 300-ohm impedance of the legendary HD 600 & HD 650. This new coil also provides higher magnetic force and electrical dampening for cleaner impulse response.

The surround is now more compliant, too, dropping the resonant frequency to 70 Hz. Considerable effort also went into optimizing the airflow around the transducer. Thereā€™s more sensitivity over the entire frequency spectrum because the magnetā€™s air gap works more efficiently now. Taken together, these measures result in even greater precision, speed, and resolution - with double the sound pressure at the lowest frequencies.

The 300 Ohm impedance might be where the Sennheiser magic is. This should be interesting.

ā€¦and maybe the 600 black paper prices will plummet.

I know thatā€™s a prototype, but I am not liking those wood panels at all. Iā€™d much prefer a smooth piece of wood. I get that heā€™s trying to make it look unique, but itā€™s too much in my opinion.
