I wonder how different it’ll sound with the larger capacitors and higher current outputs.

clicked the link, misread the header… I thought it said “stunningly expensive”, not expressive!

LOL, I need to get my eyes checked  Or truth in advertising? :upside_down_face:

Not a lot of great options in this price category and seems like very solid engineering. I probably won’t have a chance to try one but am curious how it performs.

Need to try one of these 2 and see how it is at some point

Yeah the R26 and A26 are both kinda interesting for sub $2K

his written review are typically pretty solid.

Hello
I got the R26 as a small Christmas present.
It’s also my first R2R Dac, so I can’t make a direct comparison with the Holo, but it could certainly hold its own and probably stands above the Ares 2.
But what I hear with the Euforia and Auteur is very good.
Quite relaxed and musical, great resolution and allows you to see a good bit behind the curtain.
Especially on stereo systems I like it very much.
I currently have it connected to the Su2 via I2S.
With the Lan and Fmc speakers it can do a bit more (I’m still waiting for a Finisar cable for more tests).
I’ve finished the burn in so far and hope to have a few nice evenings this week.
What I have noticed about I2S, which is not necessarily a bad thing, is that it is sometimes not quite as extended as a deltasigma in certain instrument settings.
Don’t nail me down if it’s actually like that, I put it down to the burn in or tubes at first.
And think it might be more temporary.
Otherwise the R26 does a really good job and impression.

Home Theater baby…these are purpose built to support HT. If I did not have 1400 watts dedicated to my HT speakers (BMR stand-mounts) these would probably be top of my list of choices :+1:

I’m very blatant and vocal in my absolute adoration, preference and constant recommendations of the speakers Dennis builds. He is a master at crossover design and since he sells direct and DIY the value of his products compared to others that cost multiple times more is undisputed.

Folks, let your ears be the judge…not my words. I am sure this set will provide value and enjoyment to those who choose them :pinched_fingers:
